Matthew 19:1 | And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, he withdrew from Galilee, and came to the coasts of Judaea beyond the Jordan; | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; | It happened when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan. |

Matthew 19:5 | and said, On account of this a man shall leave father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh? | And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? | and said, 'For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife; and the two will become one flesh?' |
Matthew 19:6 | so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate. | Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. | So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart." |
Matthew 19:7 | They say to him, Why then did Moses command to give a letter of divorce and to send [her] away? | They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? | They asked him, "Why then did Moses command us to give her a bill of divorce, and divorce her?" |
Matthew 19:8 | He says to them, Moses, in view of your hardheartedness, allowed you to put away your wives; but from the beginning it was not thus. | He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. | He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so. |
Matthew 19:9 | But I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, not for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and he who marries one put away commits adultery. | And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. | I tell you that whoever will put away his wife, except for sexual immorality, and will marry another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is put away commits adultery." |
Matthew 19:10 | His disciples say to him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. | His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. | His disciples said to him, "If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry." |

Matthew 19:12 | for there are eunuchs which have been born thus from [their] mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs of men; and there are eunuchs who have made eunuchs of themselves for the sake of the kingdom of the heavens. He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it]. | For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. | For there are eunuchs, who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs, who were made eunuchs by men: and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it." |

Matthew 19:17 | And he said to him, What askest thou me concerning goodness? one is good. No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments." |
Matthew 19:18 | He says to him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, | He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, | He said to him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, "You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not offer false testimony. |
Matthew 19:19 | Honour thy father and thy mother, and Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | Honor your father and mother. And, you shall love your neighbor as yourself." |

Matthew 19:21 | Jesus said to him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to [the] poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me. | Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. | Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." |

Matthew 19:23 | And Jesus said to his disciples, Verily I say unto you, A rich man shall with difficulty enter into the kingdom of the heavens; | Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. | Jesus said to his disciples, "Most assuredly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty. |
Matthew 19:24 | and again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to enter a needle's eye than a rich man into the kingdom of God. | And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. | Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." |

What then will we have?" |
Matthew 19:28 | And Jesus said to them, Verily I say unto you, That *ye* who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit down upon his throne of glory, *ye* also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. | And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. | Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly I tell you, that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |
Matthew 19:29 | And every one who has left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit life eternal. | And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. | Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life. |
