Romans 14:1Now him that is weak in the faith receive, not to [the] determining of questions of reasoning.Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. But receive him who is weak in faith, not for judging thoughts.
Romans 14:2One man is assured that he may eat all things; but the weak eats herbs. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats herbs.
Romans 14:3Let not him that eats make little of him that eats not; and let not him that eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him.Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Don't let him who eats despise him who doesn't eat. Don't let him who doesn't eat judge him who eats, for God has received him.
Romans 14:4Who art *thou* that judgest the servant of another? to his own master he stands or falls. And he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand.Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Who are you who judge the servant of another? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.
Romans 14:5One man esteems day more than day; another esteems every day [alike]. Let each be fully persuaded in his own mind. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. One man esteems one day above another. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.
Romans 14:6He that regards the day, regards it to [the] Lord. And he that eats, eats to [the] Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that does not eat, [it is] to [the] Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks. He who doesn't eat, to the Lord he doesn't eat, and gives God thanks.
Romans 14:7For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For none of us lives to himself, and none dies to himself.
Romans 14:8For both if we should live, [it is] to the Lord we live; and if we should die, [it is] to the Lord we die: both if we should live then, and if we should die, we are the Lord's.For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord's.
Romans 14:9For to this [end] Christ has died and lived [again], that he might rule over both dead and living. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
Romans 14:10But thou, why judgest thou thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou make little of thy brother? for we shall all be placed before the judgment-seat of God.But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:11For it is written, *I* live, saith [the] Lord, that to me shall bow every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God.For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. For it is written, "'As I live,' says the Lord, 'to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.'"
Romans 14:12So then each of us shall give an account concerning himself to God.So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:13Let us no longer therefore judge one another; but judge ye this rather, not to put a stumbling-block or a fall-trap before his brother.Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. Therefore Let's not judge one another any more, but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block in his brother's way, or an occasion of falling.
Romans 14:14I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him who reckons anything to be unclean, to that man [it is] unclean.I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except that to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Romans 14:15For if on account of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer according to love. Destroy not him with thy meat for whom Christ has died. But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don't destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.
Romans 14:16Let not then your good be evil spoken of;Let not then your good be evil spoken of: Then don't let your good be slandered,
Romans 14:17for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in [the] Holy Spirit. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:18For he that in this serves the Christ [is] acceptable to God and approved of men.For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
Romans 14:19So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. So then, let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may build one another up.
Romans 14:20For the sake of meat do not destroy the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil to that man who eats while stumbling [in doing so].For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. Don't overthrow God's work for food's sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.
Romans 14:21[It is] right not to eat meat, nor drink wine, nor [do anything] in which thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is weak.It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. It is good not to eat meat, drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, is offended, or is made weak.
Romans 14:22Hast *thou* faith? have [it] to thyself before God. Blessed [is] he who does not judge himself in what he allows.Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn't judge himself in that which he approves.
Romans 14:23But he that doubts, if he eat, is condemned; because [it is] not of faith; but whatever [is] not of faith is sin.And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it isn't of faith; and whatever is not of faith is sin.
