Philippians 4:1 | So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in [the] Lord, beloved. | Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. | Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. |
Philippians 4:2 | I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in [the] Lord; | I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. | I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord. |
Philippians 4:3 | yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life. | And I entreat thee also, true yoke-fellow, help those women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow-laborers, whose names are in the book of life. | Yes, I beg you also, true yoke-fellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. |
Philippians 4:4 | Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. | Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. | Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice! |
Philippians 4:5 | Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord [is] near. | Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. | Let your mildness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. |
Philippians 4:6 | Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; | Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. | In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. |
Philippians 4:7 | and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. | And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. | The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:8 | For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things. | Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things. | Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. |
Philippians 4:9 | What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you. | Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace will be with you. | The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you. |
Philippians 4:10 | But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity. | But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. | But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity. |
Philippians 4:11 | Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me *I* have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself. | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, with that to be content. | Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. |
Philippians 4:12 | I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation. | I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. | I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. |
Philippians 4:13 | I have strength for all things in him that gives me power. | I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me. | I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. |
Philippians 4:14 | But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction. | Notwithstanding ye have done well, that ye did communicate with my affliction. | However you did well that you had fellowship with my affliction. |
Philippians 4:15 | And know also *ye*, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save *ye* alone; | Now, ye Philippians, know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. | You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only. |
Philippians 4:16 | for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need. | For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again to my necessity. | For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need. |
Philippians 4:17 | Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account. | Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. | Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account. |
Philippians 4:18 | But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God. | But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. | But I have all things, and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God. |
Philippians 4:19 | But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. | But my God will supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. | My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:20 | But to our God and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen. | Now to God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. | Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. |
Philippians 4:21 | Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you. | Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. | Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you. |
Philippians 4:22 | All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar. | All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Cesar's household. | All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar's household. |
Philippians 4:23 | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. |
