Matthew 28:1Now late on sabbath, as it was the dusk of the next day after sabbath, came Mary of Magdala and the other Mary to look at the sepulchre.In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary to see the sepulcher.And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre,
Matthew 28:2And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of [the] Lord, descending out of heaven, came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.and lo, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, having come, did roll away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it,
Matthew 28:3And his look was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow.His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,
Matthew 28:4And for fear of him the guards trembled and became as dead men.And for fear of him the keepers trembled and became as dead men.and from the fear of him did the keepers shake, and they became as dead men.
Matthew 28:5And the angel answering said to the women, Fear not *ye*, for I know that ye seek Jesus the crucified one.And the angel answered and said to the women, Fear ye not: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified.And the messenger answering said to the women, `Fear not ye, for I have known that Jesus, who hath been crucified, ye seek;
Matthew 28:6He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.he is not here, for he rose, as he said; come, see the place where the Lord was lying;
Matthew 28:7And go quickly and say to his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goes before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him. Behold, I have told you.And go quickly, and tell his disciples, that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.and having gone quickly, say ye to his disciples, that he rose from the dead; and lo, he doth go before you to Galilee, there ye shall see him; lo, I have told you.`
Matthew 28:8And going out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to bring his disciples word.And they departed quickly from the sepulcher, with fear and great joy; and ran to bring word to his disciples.And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell to his disciples;
Matthew 28:9And as they went to bring his disciples word, behold also, Jesus met them, saying, Hail! And they coming up took him by the feet, and did him homage.And as they were going to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came, and held him by the feet, and worshiped him.and as they were going to tell to his disciples, then lo, Jesus met them, saying, `Hail!` and they having come near, laid hold of his feet, and did bow to him.
Matthew 28:10Then Jesus says to them, Fear not; go, bring word to my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.Then said Jesus to them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren, that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.Then saith Jesus to them, `Fear ye not, go away, tell to my brethren that they may go away to Galilee, and there they shall see me.`
Matthew 28:11And as they went, behold, some of the watch went into the city, and brought word to the chief priests of all that had taken place.Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed to the chief priests all the things that had been done.And while they are going on, lo, certain of the watch having come to the city, told to the chief priests all the things that happened,
Matthew 28:12And having assembled with the elders, and having taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,and having been gathered together with the elders, counsel also having taken, they gave much money to the soldiers,
Matthew 28:13saying, Say that his disciples coming by night stole him [while] we [were] sleeping.Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.saying, `Say ye, that his disciples having come by night, stole him we being asleep;
Matthew 28:14And if this should come to the hearing of the governor, *we* will persuade him, and save *you* from all anxiety.And if this shall come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.and if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.`
Matthew 28:15And they took the money and did as they had been taught. And this report is current among the Jews until this day.So they took the money, and did as they were instructed: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews till this day.
Matthew 28:16But the eleven disciples went into Galilee to the mountain which Jesus had appointed them.Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mount where Jesus appointed them,
Matthew 28:17And when they saw him, they did homage to him: but some doubted.And when they saw him, they worshiped him: but some doubted.and having seen him, they bowed to him, but some did waver.
Matthew 28:18And Jesus coming up spoke to them, saying, All power has been given me in heaven and upon earth.And Jesus came, and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and upon earth.And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, `Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;
Matthew 28:19Go [therefore] and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28:20teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have enjoined you. And behold, *I* am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you,) and lo, I am with you all the days till the full end of the age.`
