Hebrews 13:1Let brotherly love abide.Let brotherly love always continue.Go on loving your brothers in the faith.
Hebrews 13:2Be not forgetful of hospitality; for by it some have unawares entertained angels.Do not neglect to show kindness to strangers; for, in this way, some, without knowing it, have had angels as their guests.Take care to keep open house: because in this way some have had angels as their guests, without being conscious of it.
Hebrews 13:3Remember prisoners, as bound with [them]; those that are evil-treated, as being yourselves also in [the] body.Remember prisoners, as if you were in prison with them; and remember those suffering ill-treatment, for you yourselves also are still in the body.Keep in mind those who are in chains, as if you were chained with them, and those who are in trouble, as being yourselves in the body.
Hebrews 13:4[Let] marriage [be held] every way in honour, and the bed [be] undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers will God judge.Let marriage be held in honour among all, and let the marriage bed be unpolluted; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.Let married life be honoured among all of you and not made unclean; for men untrue in married life will be judged by God.
Hebrews 13:5[Let your] conversation [be] without love of money, satisfied with [your] present circumstances; for *he* has said, I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.Your lives should be untainted by love for money. Be content with what you have; for God Himself has said, "I will never, never let go your hand: I will never never forsake you."Be free from the love of money and pleased with the things which you have; for he himself has said, I will be with you at all times.
Hebrews 13:6So that, taking courage, we may say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not be afraid: what will man do unto me?So that we fearlessly say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid: what can man do to me?"So that we say with a good heart, The Lord is my helper; I will have no fear: what is man able to do to me?
Hebrews 13:7Remember your leaders who have spoken to you the word of God; and considering the issue of their conversation, imitate their faith.Remember your former leaders it was they who brought you God's Message. Bear in mind how they ended their lives, and imitate their faith.Keep in mind those who were over you, and who gave you the word of God; seeing the outcome of their way of life, let your faith be like theirs.
Hebrews 13:8Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and to-day, and to the ages [to come].Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to-day yes, and to the ages to come.Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.
Hebrews 13:9Be not carried away with various and strange doctrines; for [it is] good that the heart be confirmed with grace, not meats; those who have walked in which have not been profited by [them].Do not be drawn aside by all sorts of strange teaching; for it is well to have the heart made stedfast through God's grace, and not by special kinds of food, from which those who scrupulously attend to them have derived no benefit.Do not be turned away by different strange teachings, because it is good for your hearts to be made strong by grace, and not by meats, which were of no profit to those who took so much trouble over them.
Hebrews 13:10We have an altar of which they have no right to eat who serve the tabernacle; We Christians have an altar from which the ministers of the Jewish Tent have no right to eat.We have an altar from which those priests who are servants in the Tent may not take food.
Hebrews 13:11for of those beasts whose blood is carried [as sacrifices for sin] into the [holy of] holies by the high priest, of these the bodies are burned outside the camp. For the bodies of those animals of which the blood is carried by the High Priest into the Holy place as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. For the bodies of the beasts whose blood is taken into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin are burned outside the circle of the tents.
Hebrews 13:12Wherefore also Jesus, that he might sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered without the gate:And for this reason Jesus also, in order, by His own blood, to set the people free from sin, suffered outside the gate. For this reason Jesus was put to death outside the walls, so that he might make the people holy by his blood.
Hebrews 13:13therefore let us go forth to him without the camp, bearing his reproach:Therefore let us go to Him outside the camp, sharing the insults directed against Him.Let us then go out to him outside the circle of the tents, taking his shame on ourselves.
Hebrews 13:14for we have not here an abiding city, but we seek the coming one.For we have no permanent city here, but we are longing for the city which is soon to be ours. For here we have no fixed resting-place, but our search is for the one which is to come.
Hebrews 13:15By him therefore let us offer [the] sacrifice of praise continually to God, that is, [the] fruit of [the] lips confessing his name.Through Him, then, let us continually lay on the altar a sacrifice of praise to God, namely, the utterance of lips that give thanks to His Name.Let us then make offerings of praise to God at all times through him, that is to say, the fruit of lips giving witness to his name.
Hebrews 13:16But of doing good and communicating [of your substance] be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. And do not forget to be kind and liberal; for with sacrifices of that sort God is greatly pleased. But go on doing good and giving to others, because God is well-pleased with such offerings.
Hebrews 13:17Obey your leaders, and be submissive; for *they* watch over your souls as those that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not groaning, for this [would be] unprofitable for you.Obey your leaders and be submissive to them. For they are keeping watch over your souls as those who will have to give account; that they may do this with joy and not with lamentation. For that would be of no advantage to you.Give ear to those who are rulers over you, and do as they say: for they keep watch over your souls, ready to give an account of them; let them be able to do this with joy and not with grief, because that would be of no profit to you.
Hebrews 13:18Pray for us: for we persuade ourselves that we have a good conscience, in all things desirous to walk rightly.Keep on praying for us; for we are sure that we have clear consciences, and we desire to live nobly in every respect.Make prayers for us, for we are certain that our hearts are free from the sense of sin, desiring the right way of life in all things.
Hebrews 13:19But I much more beseech [you] to do this, that I may the more quickly be restored to you.I specially urge this upon you in order that I may be the more speedily restored to you.I make this request more strongly, in the hope of coming back to you more quickly.
Hebrews 13:20But the God of peace, who brought again from among [the] dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in [the power of the] blood of [the] eternal covenant,Now may God who gives peace, and brought Jesus, our Lord, up again from among the dead even Him who, by virtue of the blood of the eternal Covenant, is the great Shepherd of the sheepNow may the God of peace, who made that great keeper of his flock, even our Lord Jesus, come back from the dead through the blood of the eternal agreement,
Hebrews 13:21perfect you in every good work to the doing of his will, doing in you what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for the ages of ages. Amen.fully equip you with every grace that you may need for the doing of His will, producing in us that which will truly please Him through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory to the Ages of the Ages! Amen.Make you full of every good work and ready to do all his desires, working in us whatever is pleasing in his eyes through Jesus Christ; and may the glory be given to him for ever and ever. So be it.
Hebrews 13:22But I beseech you, brethren, bear the word of exhortation, for it is but in few words that I have written to you.Bear with me, brethren, when I thus exhort you; for, in fact, it is but a short letter that I have written to you. But, brothers, take kindly the words which I have said for your profit; for I have not sent you a long letter.
Hebrews 13:23Know that our brother Timotheus is set at liberty; with whom, if he should come soon, I will see you.You will rejoice to hear that our brother Timothy has been set at liberty. If he comes soon, I will see you with him.Our brother Timothy has been let out of prison; and if he comes here in a short time, he and I will come to you together.
Hebrews 13:24Salute all your leaders, and all the saints. They from Italy salute you.Greet all your leaders and all God's people. The brethren from Italy send you greetings.Give words of love from me to those who are rulers over you, and to all the saints. Those who are in Italy send you their love.
Hebrews 13:25Grace [be] with you all. Amen.Grace be with you all! Amen.May grace be with you all.
