This lad, gradually sinking into deep sleep while Paul preached at unusual length, overcome at last by sleep, fell from the second floor and was taken up dead. | And a certain young man named Eutychus, sitting on the window, being oppressed with a deep sleep, (as Paul was long preaching,) by occasion of his sleep fell from the third loft down, and was taken up dead. |
Acts 20:10 | But Paul descending fell upon him, and enfolding [him] [in his arms], said, Be not troubled, for his life is in him. | Paul, however, went down, threw himself upon him, and folding him in his arms said, "Do not be alarmed; his life is still in him." | To whom, when Paul had gone down, he laid himself upon him, and embracing him, said: Be not troubled, for his soul is in him. |

Acts 20:16 | for Paul thought it desirable to sail by Ephesus, so that he might not be made to spend time in Asia; for he hastened, if it was possible for him, to be the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem. | For Paul's plan was to sail past Ephesus, so as not to spend much time in the province of Asia; since he was very desirous of being in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of the Harvest Festival. | For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest he should be stayed any time in Asia. Acts 20:20 | how I held back nothing of what is profitable, so as not to announce [it] to you, and to teach you publicly and in every house, | and that I never shrank from declaring to you anything that was profitable, or from teaching you in public and in your homes, | How I have kept back nothing that was profitable to you, but have preached it to you, and taught you publicly, and from house to house, |

Acts 20:24 | But I make no account of [my] life [as] dear to myself, so that I finish my course, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the glad tidings of the grace of God. | But even the sacrifice of my life I count as nothing, if only I may perfect my earthly course, and be faithful to the duty which the Lord Jesus has entrusted to me of proclaiming, as of supreme importance, the Good News of God's grace. | But I fear none of these things, neither do I count my life more precious than myself, so that I may consummate my course and the ministry of the word which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. |
Acts 20:25 | And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom [of God], shall see my face no more. | "And now, I know that none of you among whom I have gone in and out proclaiming the coming of the Kingdom will any longer see my face. | And now behold, I know that all you, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. |

Acts 20:29 | [For] *I* know [this,] that there will come in amongst you after my departure grievous wolves, not sparing the flock; | I know that, when I am gone, cruel wolves will come among you and will not spare the flock; | I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock. |
Acts 20:30 | and from among your own selves shall rise up men speaking perverted things to draw away the disciples after them. | and that from among your own selves men will rise up who will seek with their perverse talk to draw away the disciples after them. | And of your own selves shall arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. |
Acts 20:31 | Wherefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I ceased not admonishing each one [of you] with tears. | Therefore be on the alert; and remember that, night and day, for three years, I never ceased admonishing every one, even with tears. | Therefore watch, keeping in memory, that for three years I ceased not, with tears to admonish every one of you night and day. |

Acts 20:35 | I have shewed you all things, that thus labouring [we] ought to come in aid of the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. | In all things I have set you an example, showing you that, by working as I do, you ought to help the weak, and to bear in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, "`It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" | I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive. |

And they went down with him to the ship. | grieved above all things at his having told them that after that day they were no longer to see his face. And they went with him to the ship. | Being grieved most of all for the word which he had said, that they should see his face no more. And they brought him on his way to the ship. |
