Exodus 36:1Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every man that was wise-hearted, in whom Jehovah had put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work of the service of the sanctuary according to all that Jehovah had commanded.Beseleel, therefore, and Ooliab, and every wise man, to whom the Lord gave wisdom and understanding, to know how to work artificially, made the things that are necessary for the uses of the sanctuary, and which the Lord commanded.
Exodus 36:2And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every man that was wise-hearted, in whose heart God had put wisdom, every one whose heart moved him to come to the work to do it.And when Moses had called them, and every skilful man, to whom the Lord had given wisdom, and such as of their own accord had offered themselves to the making of the work,
Exodus 36:3And they took from Moses every heave-offering that the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it. And they still brought him voluntary offerings morning by morning. He delivered all the offerings of the children of Israel unto them. And while they were earnest about the work, the people daily in the morning offered their vows.
Exodus 36:4And all the wise men that wrought all the work of the sanctuary came, every man from his work which they wrought,Whereupon the workmen being constrained to come,
Exodus 36:5and spoke to Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work that Jehovah commanded to be done.Said to Moses: The people offereth more than is necessary.
Exodus 36:6Then Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed through the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the heave-offering of the sanctuary! So the people were restrained from bringing;Moses therefore commanded proclamation to be made by the crier's voice: Let neither man nor woman offer any more for the work of the sanctuary. And so they ceased from offering gifts,
Exodus 36:7for the work they had was sufficient for all the work to do it, and it was too much.Because the things that were offered did suffice, and were too much.
Exodus 36:8And every wise-hearted man among those that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of twined byssus, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: [with] cherubim of artistic work did he make them. And all the men that were wise of heart, to accomplish the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of twisted fine linen, and violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, with varied work, and the art of embroidering:
Exodus 36:9The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits one measure for all the curtains. The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth four: all the curtains were of the same size.
Exodus 36:10And he coupled five of the curtains one to another, and [the other] five curtains coupled he one to another. And he joined five curtains, one to another, and the other five he coupled one to another.
Exodus 36:11And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain at the edge of the coupling; he did likewise in the edge of the outermost curtain in the other coupling. He made also loops of violet in the edge of the curtain on both sides, and in the edge of the other curtain in like manner,
Exodus 36:12He made fifty loops in one curtain, and he made fifty loops at the end of the curtain that was in the other coupling: the loops were opposite to one another. That the loops might meet on against another, and might be joined each with the other.
Exodus 36:13And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle became one.Whereupon also he cast fifty rings of gold, that might catch the loops of the curtains, and they might be made one tabernacle.
Exodus 36:14And he made curtains of goats' [hair] for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains did he make them.He made also eleven curtains of goats' hair, to cover the roof of the tabernacle:
Exodus 36:15The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits the breadth of one curtain one measure for the eleven curtains. One curtain was thirty cubits long and four cubits broad: all the curtains were of one measure.
Exodus 36:16And he coupled five of the curtains by themselves, and six of the curtains by themselves.Five of which he joined apart, and the other six apart.
Exodus 36:17And he made fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he on the edge of the curtain in the other coupling. And he made fifty loops in the edge of one curtain, and fifty in the edge of another curtain, that they might be joined one to another.
Exodus 36:18And he made fifty clasps of copper to couple the tent, that it might be one.And fifty buckles of brass wherewith the roof might be knit together, that of all the curtains there might be made one covering.
Exodus 36:19And he made a covering for the tent [of] rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers' skins above [that].He made also a cover for the tabernacle of rams' skins dyed red: and another cover over that of violet skins.
Exodus 36:20And he made the boards for the tabernacle of acacia-wood, standing up;He made also the boards of the tabernacle of setim wood standing.
Exodus 36:21ten cubits the length of the boards, and one cubit and a half the breadth of one board; The length of one board was ten cubits: and the breadth was one cubit and a half.
Exodus 36:22two tenons in one board, connected one with the other: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle. There were two mortises throughout every board, that one might be joined to the other. And in this manner he made for all the boards of the tabernacle.
Exodus 36:23And he made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward;Of which twenty were at the south side southward,
Exodus 36:24and he made forty bases of silver under the twenty boards, two bases under one board, for its two tenons, and two bases under another board for its two tenons. With forty sockets of silver, two sockets were put under one board on the two sides of the corners, where the mortises of the sides end in the corners.
Exodus 36:25And for the other side of the tabernacle, on the side toward the north, he made twenty boards,At that side also of the tabernacle, that looketh toward the north, he made twenty boards.
Exodus 36:26and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one board, and two bases under another board. With forty sockets of silver, two sockets for every board.
Exodus 36:27And at the rear of the tabernacle, westward, he made six boards; But against the west, to wit, at that side of the tabernacle, which looketh to the sea, he made six boards,
Exodus 36:28and he made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear; And two others at each corner of the tabernacle behind:
Exodus 36:29and they were joined beneath, and were coupled together at the top thereof into one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners;Which were also joined from beneath unto the top, and went together into one joint. Thus he did on both sides at the corners:
Exodus 36:30and there were eight boards, and their silver bases: sixteen bases, under every board two bases. So there were in all eight boards and they had sixteen sockets of silver, to wit, two sockets under every board.
Exodus 36:31And he made bars of acacia-wood: five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,He made also bars of setim wood, five to hold together the boards of one side of the tabernacle,
Exodus 36:32and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle at the rear, westward. And five others to join together the boards of the other side: and besides these, five other bars at the west side of the tabernacle towards the sea.
Exodus 36:33And he made the middle bar in the midst of the boards reach from one end to the other. He made also another bar, that might come by the midst of the boards from corner to corner.
Exodus 36:34And he overlaid the boards with gold; and made their rings of gold [as] receptacles for the bars; and overlaid the bars with gold. And the board works themselves he overlaid with gold, casting for them sockets of silver. And their rings he made of gold, through which the bars might be drawn: and he covered the bars themselves with plates of gold.
Exodus 36:35And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus: of artistic work he made it [with] cherubim. He made also a veil of violet, and purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, varied and distinguished with embroidery:
Exodus 36:36And he made four pillars of acacia[-wood] for it, and overlaid them with gold; their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four bases of silver. And four pillars of setim wood, which with their heads be overlaid with gold, casting for them sockets of silver.
Exodus 36:37And he made a curtain for the entrance of the tent of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus, of embroidery; He made also a hanging in the entry of the tabernacle of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, with the work of an embroiderer.
Exodus 36:38and its five pillars with their hooks; and he overlaid their capitals and their connecting-rods with gold; and their five bases were of copper. And five pillars with their heads, which he covered with gold, and their sockets he cast of brass.
