| Leviticus 18:1 | And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, | | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: |
| Leviticus 18:2 | Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Jehovah your God. | | Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: I am the Lord your God. |
| Leviticus 18:3 | After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their customs. | | You shall not do according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you dwelt: neither shall you act according to the manner of the country of Chanaan, into which I will bring you, nor shall you walk in their ordinances. |

| Leviticus 18:21 | And thou shalt not give of thy seed to let them pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah. | | Thou shalt not give any of thy seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor defile the name of thy God : I am the Lord. |
| Leviticus 18:22 | And thou shalt not lie with mankind as one lieth with a woman: it is an abomination. | | Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, because it is an abomination. |
| Leviticus 18:23 | And thou shalt lie with no beast to become unclean therewith; and a woman shall not stand before a beast to lie down with it: it is confusion. | | Thou shalt not copulate with any beast, neither shalt thou be defiled with it. A woman shall not lie down to a beast, nor copulate with it: because it is a heinous crime. |
| Leviticus 18:24 | Make not yourselves unclean in any of these things; for in all these have the nations which I am casting out before you made themselves unclean. | | Defile not yourselves with any of these things with which all the nations have been defiled, which I will cast out before you, |
| Leviticus 18:25 | And the land hath become unclean; and I visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants. | | And with which the land is defiled: the abominations of which I will visit, that it may vomit out its inhabitants. |
| Leviticus 18:26 | But *ye* shall observe my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of all these abominations: the home-born, and the stranger that sojourneth among you; | | Keep ye my ordinances and my judgments, and do not any of these abominations: neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you. |
| Leviticus 18:27 | (for all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land hath been made unclean); | | For all these detestable things the inhabitants of the land have done, that; were before you, and have defiled it. |
| Leviticus 18:28 | that the land vomit you not out, when ye make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. | | Beware then, lest in like manner, it vomit you also out, if you do the like things, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. |
| Leviticus 18:29 | For whoever committeth any of these abominations, ... the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. | | Every soul that shall commit any of these abominations, shall perish from the midst of his people. |
| Leviticus 18:30 | And ye shall observe my charge, that ye commit not [any] of the abominable customs which were committed before you; and ye shall not make yourselves unclean therein: I am Jehovah your God. | | Keep my commandments. Do not the things which they have done, that have been before you, and be not defiled therein. I am the Lord your God. |
