| Matthew 28:1 | Now late on sabbath, as it was the dusk of the next day after sabbath, came Mary of Magdala and the other Mary to look at the sepulchre. | After the Sabbath, in the early dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre. | And in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre. |

| Matthew 28:13 | saying, Say that his disciples coming by night stole him [while] we [were] sleeping. | telling them to say, "His disciples came during the night and stole his body while we were asleep." | Saying: Say you, His disciples came by night, and stole him away when we were asleep. |
| Matthew 28:14 | And if this should come to the hearing of the governor, *we* will persuade him, and save *you* from all anxiety. | "And if this," they added, "is reported to the Governor, we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment." | And if the governor shall hear this, we will persuade him, and secure you. |
| Matthew 28:15 | And they took the money and did as they had been taught. And this report is current among the Jews until this day. | So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this story was noised about among the Jews, and is current to this day. | So they taking the money, did as they were taught: and this word was spread abroad among the Jews even unto this day. |
