Romans 8:1[There is] then now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus;There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death.for the Spirit's Law telling of Life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the Law that deals only with sin and death.For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
Romans 8:3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent his own Son, in likeness of flesh of sin, and for sin, has condemned sin in the flesh,For what was impossible to the Law powerless as it was because it acted through frail humanity God effected. Sending His own Son in a body like that of sinful human nature and as a sacrifice for sin, He pronounced sentence upon sin in human nature;For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh;
Romans 8:4in order that the righteous requirement of the law should be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to flesh but according to Spirit.in order that in our case the requirements of the Law might be fully met. For our lives are regulated not by our earthly, but by our spiritual natures.that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:5For they that are according to flesh mind the things of the flesh; and they that are according to Spirit, the things of the Spirit.For if men are controlled by their earthly natures, they give their minds to earthly things. If they are controlled by their spiritual natures, they give their minds to spiritual things.For those who are after the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:6For the mind of the flesh [is] death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace.Because for the mind to be given up to earthly things means death; but for it to be given up to spiritual things means Life and peace.For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
Romans 8:7Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God; for neither indeed can it be:Abandonment to earthly things is a state of enmity to God. Such a mind does not submit to God's Law, and indeed cannot do so.because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.
Romans 8:8and they that are in flesh cannot please God.And those whose hearts are absorbed in earthly things cannot please God.Those who are in the flesh can't please God.
Romans 8:9But *ye* are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed God's Spirit dwell in you; but if any one has not [the] Spirit of Christ *he* is not of him:You, however, are not devoted to earthly, but to spiritual things, if the Spirit of God is really dwelling in you; whereas if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, such a one does not belong to Him.But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
Romans 8:10but if Christ be in you, the body is dead on account of sin, but the Spirit life on account of righteousness.But if Christ is in you, though your body must die because of sin, yet your spirit has Life because of righteousness.If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of him that has raised up Jesus from among [the] dead dwell in you, he that has raised up Christ from among [the] dead shall quicken your mortal bodies also on account of his Spirit which dwells in you.And if the Spirit of Him who raised up Jesus from the dead is dwelling in you, He who raised up Christ from the dead will give Life also to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who dwells in you.But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:12So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh;Therefore, brethren, it is not to our lower natures that we are under obligation that we should live by their rule.So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Romans 8:13for if ye live according to flesh, ye are about to die; but if, by the Spirit, ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live:For if you so live, death is near; but if, through being under the sway of the spirit, you are putting your old bodily habits to death, you will live.For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Romans 8:14for as many as are led by [the] Spirit of God, *these* are sons of God.For those who are led by God's Spirit are, all of them, God's sons.For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
Romans 8:15For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye have received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.You have not for the second time acquired the consciousness of being a consciousness which fills you with terror. But you have acquired a deep inward conviction of having been adopted as sons a conviction which prompts us to cry aloud, "Abba! our Father!"For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, "Abba! Father!"
Romans 8:16The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.The Spirit Himself bears witness, along with our own spirits, to the fact that we are children of God;The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;
Romans 8:17And if children, heirs also: heirs of God, and Christ's joint heirs; if indeed we suffer with [him], that we may also be glorified with [him].and if children, then heirs too heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ; if indeed we are sharers in Christ's sufferings, in order that we may also be sharers in His glory.and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy [to be compared] with the coming glory to be revealed to us.Why, what we now suffer I count as nothing in comparison with the glory which is soon to be manifested in us.For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.
Romans 8:19For the anxious looking out of the creature expects the revelation of the sons of God:For all creation, gazing eagerly as if with outstretched neck, is waiting and longing to see the manifestation of the sons of God.For the creation waits with eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.
Romans 8:20for the creature has been made subject to vanity, not of its will, but by reason of him who has subjected [the same], in hopeFor the Creation fell into subjection to failure and unreality (not of its own choice, but by the will of Him who so subjected it).For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope
Romans 8:21that the creature itself also shall be set free from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.Yet there was always the hope that at last the Creation itself would also be set free from the thraldom of decay so as to enjoy the liberty that will attend the glory of the children of God.that the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.
Romans 8:22For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails in pain together until now.For we know that the whole of Creation is groaning together in the pains of childbirth until this hour.For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.
Romans 8:23And not only [that], but even *we* ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we also ourselves groan in ourselves, awaiting adoption, [that is] the redemption of our body.And more than that, we ourselves, though we possess the Spirit as a foretaste and pledge of the glorious future, yet we ourselves inwardly sigh, as we wait and long for open recognition as sons through the deliverance of our bodies.Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body.
Romans 8:24For we have been saved in hope; but hope seen is not hope; for what any one sees, why does he also hope?It is *in hope* that we have been saved. But an object of hope is such no longer when it is present to view; for when a man has a thing before his eyes, how can he be said to hope for it?For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees?
Romans 8:25But if what we see not we hope, we expect in patience.But if we hope for something which we do not see, then we eagerly and patiently wait for it.But if we hope for that which we don't see, we wait for it with patience.
Romans 8:26And in like manner the Spirit joins also its help to our weakness; for we do not know what we should pray for as is fitting, but the Spirit itself makes intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered.In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness; for we do not know what prayers to offer nor in what way to offer them. But the Spirit Himself pleads for us in yearnings that can find no words,In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.
Romans 8:27But he who searches the hearts knows what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for saints according to God.and the Searcher of hearts knows what the Spirit's meaning is, because His intercessions for God's people are in harmony with God's will.He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.
Romans 8:28But we *do* know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.Now we know that for those who love God all things are working together for good for those, I mean, whom with deliberate purpose He has called.We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:29Because whom he has foreknown, he has also predestinated [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be [the] firstborn among many brethren.For those whom He has known beforehand He has also pre-destined to bear the likeness of His Son, that He might be the Eldest in a vast family of brothers;For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Romans 8:30But whom he has predestinated, these also he has called; and whom he has called, these also he has justified; but whom he has justified, these also he has glorified.and those whom He has pre-destined He also has called; and those whom He has called He has also declared free from guilt; and those whom He has declared free from guilt He has also crowned with glory.Whom he foreordained, them he also called. Whom he called, them he also justified. Whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Romans 8:31What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who against us?What then shall we say to this? If God is on our side, who is there to appear against us?What then will we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:32He who, yea, has not spared his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him grant us all things?He who did not withhold even His own Son, but gave Him up for all of us, will He not also with Him freely give us all things?He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
Romans 8:33Who shall bring an accusation against God's elect? [It is] God who justifies:Who shall impeach those whom God has chosen? God declares them free from guilt.Who could bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
Romans 8:34who is he that condemns? [It is] Christ who has died, but rather has been [also] raised up; who is also at the right hand of God; who also intercedes for us.Who is there to condemn them? Christ Jesus died, or rather has risen to life again. He is also at the right hand of God, and is interceding for us.Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Romans 8:35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?Who shall separate us from Christ's love? Shall affliction or distress, persecution or hunger, nakedness or danger or the sword?Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:36According as it is written, For thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter.As it stands written in the Scripture, "For Thy sake they are, all day long, trying to kill us. We have been looked upon as sheep destined for slaughter."Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
Romans 8:37But in all these things we more than conquer through him that has loved us.Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who has loved us.No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:38For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither the lower ranks of evil angels nor the higher, neither things present nor things future, nor the forces of nature,For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Romans 8:39nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which [is] in Christ Jesus our Lord.nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God which rests upon us in Christ Jesus our Lord.nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
