| Titus 3:1 | Put them in mind to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient to rule, to be ready to do every good work, | Remind people that they must submit to the rulers who are in authority over them; that they must obey the magistrates, be prepared for every right action, | Remind them to be subject to principalities and authorities, to obey rule, unto every good work to be ready, |

| Titus 3:3 | For we were once ourselves also without intelligence, disobedient, wandering in error, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another. | For there was a time when we also were deficient in understanding, obstinate, deluded, the slaves of various cravings and pleasures, spending our lives in malice and envy, hateful ourselves and hating one another. | for we were once also we thoughtless, disobedient, led astray, serving desires and pleasures manifold, in malice and envy living, odious hating one another; |

| Titus 3:8 | The word [is] faithful, and I desire that thou insist strenuously on these things, that they who have believed God may take care to pay diligent attention to good works. These things are good and profitable to men. | This is a faithful saying, and on these various points I would have you insist strenuously, in order that those who have their faith fixed on God may be careful to set an example of good actions.
