Mark 8:1In those days, there being again a great crowd, and they having nothing that they could eat, having called his disciples to [him], he says to them,In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them,In those days, when there was again a great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them,
Mark 8:2I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat,"I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat:
Mark 8:3and if I should dismiss them to their home fasting, they will faint on the way; for some of them are come from far.If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way."and if I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way; and some of them are come from far.
Mark 8:4And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to satisfy these with bread here in a desert place?His disciples answered him, "From where will one be able to fill these men with bread here in a desert place?"And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to fill these men with bread here in a desert place?
Mark 8:5And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven."And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
Mark 8:6And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, that they might set [them] before [them]; and they set [them] before the crowd.He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.And he commandeth the multitude to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he brake, and gave to his disciples, to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.
Mark 8:7And they had a few small fishes, and having blessed them, he desired these also to be set before [them].They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.And they had a few small fishes: and having blessed them, he commanded to set these also before them.
Mark 8:8And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up of fragments that remained seven baskets.They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.And they ate, and were filled: and they took up, of broken pieces that remained over, seven baskets.
Mark 8:9And they [that had eaten] were about four thousand; and he sent them away.Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.And they were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

Mark 8:11And the Pharisees went out and began to dispute against him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking a sign from heaven from him, and tempting him.And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him.
Mark 8:12And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation.He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Most assuredly I tell you, there will no sign be given to this generation."And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.
Mark 8:13And he left them, and going again on board ship, went away to the other side.He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side.And he left them, and again entering into [the boat] departed to the other side.
Mark 8:14And they forgot to take bread, and save one loaf, they had not [any] with them in the ship.They forgot to take bread; and they didn't have more than one loaf in the boat with them.And they forgot to take bread; and they had not in the boat with them more than one loaf.
Mark 8:15And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and [of] the leaven of Herod.He charged them, saying, "Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod."And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.
Mark 8:16And they reasoned with one another, [saying], It is because we have no bread.They reasoned with one another, saying, "It's because we have no bread."And they reasoned one with another, saying, We have no bread.
Mark 8:17And Jesus knowing [it], says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart [yet] hardened?Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, "Why do you reason that it's because you have no bread? Don't you perceive yet, neither understand? Is your heart still hardened?And Jesus perceiving it saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? do ye not yet perceive, neither understand? have ye your heart hardened?
Mark 8:18Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?Having eyes, don't you see? Having ears, don't you hear? Don't you remember?Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
Mark 8:19When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many hand-baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They told him, "Twelve."When I brake the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
Mark 8:20And when the seven for the four thousand, the filling of how many baskets of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven."When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They told him, "Seven."And when the seven among the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces took ye up? And they say unto him, Seven.
Mark 8:21And he said to them, How do ye not yet understand?He asked them, "Don't you understand, yet?"And he said unto them, Do ye not yet understand?
Mark 8:22And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring him a blind man, and beseech him that he might touch him.He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him, and begged him to touch him.And they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him.
Mark 8:23And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything.He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.And he took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, Seest thou aught?
Mark 8:24And having looked up, he said, I behold men, for I see [them], as trees, walking.He looked up, and said, "I see men; for I see them like trees walking."And he looked up, and said, I see men; for I behold [them] as trees, walking.
Mark 8:25Then he laid his hands again upon his eyes, and he saw distinctly, and was restored and saw all things clearly.Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked stedfastly, and was restored, and saw all things clearly.
Mark 8:26And he sent him to his house, saying, Neither enter into the village, nor tell [it] to any one in the village.He sent him away to his house, saying, "Don't enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village."And he sent him away to his home, saying, Do not even enter into the village.
Mark 8:27And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?Jesus went forth, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. Mark 8:28And they answered him, saying, John the baptist; and others, Elias; but others, One of the prophets.They told him, "John the Baptizer, and others, Elijah, but others, one of the prophets."And they told him, saying, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, One of the prophets.
Mark 8:29And he asked them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering says to him, *Thou* art the Christ.He asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ."And he asked them, But who say ye that I am? Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
Mark 8:30And he charged them straitly, in order that they should tell no man about him.He charged them that they should tell no one about him.And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

Mark 8:33But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.But he, turning around, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men."But he turning about, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and saith, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men.
Mark 8:34And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said to them, Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.He called the multitude to himself with his disciples, and said to them, "Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.And he called unto him the multitude with his disciples, and said unto them, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:35For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.
Mark 8:36For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?For what doth it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
