Genesis 25:1And Abraham took another wife named Keturah.Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah.And Abraham took another wife named Keturah.
Genesis 25:2And she bore him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.She became the mother of Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah.
Genesis 25:3And Jokshan begot Sheba and Dedan; and the sons of Dedan were the Asshurim, and the Letushim, and the Leummim.Jokshan became the father of Sheba, and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim.And Jokshan became the father of Sheba and Dedan. And from Dedan came the Asshurim and Letushim and Leummim.
Genesis 25:4And the sons of Midian were Ephah, and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were sons of Keturah.The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.And from Midian came Ephah and Epher and Hanoch and Abida and Eldaah. All these were the offspring of Keturah.
Genesis 25:5And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac,Now Abraham gave all his property to Isaac;
Genesis 25:6And to the sons of the concubines that Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and, while he yet lived, sent them away from Isaac his son, eastward to the east country.but to the sons of the concubines who Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts. He sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, to the east country.But to the sons of his other women he gave offerings, and sent them away, while he was still living, into the east country.
Genesis 25:7And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived: a hundred and seventy-five years.These are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.Now the years of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five.
Genesis 25:8And Abraham expired and died in a good old age, old and full [of days]; and was gathered to his peoples.Abraham gave up the spirit, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full, and was gathered to his people.And Abraham came to his death, an old man, full of years; and he was put to rest with his people.
Genesis 25:9And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which was opposite to MamreIsaac and Ishmael, his sons, buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre,And Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, put him to rest in the hollow rock of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, near Mamre;
Genesis 25:10the field that Abraham had purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.the field which Abraham purchased of the children of Heth. There was Abraham buried, with Sarah his wife.The same field which Abraham got from the children of Heth: there Abraham was put to rest with Sarah, his wife.
Genesis 25:11And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at Beer-lahai-roi.It happened after the death of Abraham, that God blessed Isaac, his son. Isaac lived by Beer-lahai-roi.Now after the death of Abraham, the blessing of God was with Isaac, his son.
Genesis 25:12And these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's bondwoman, bore to Abraham.Now this is the history of the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bore to Abraham.Now these are the generations of Ishmael, the son of Abraham, whose mother was Hagar the Egyptian, the servant of Sarah:
Genesis 25:13And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their names according to their generations: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to the order of their birth: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,These are the names of the sons of Ishmael by their generations: Ishmael's first son was Nebaioth; then Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsam
Genesis 25:14and Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,Mishma, Dumah, Massa,And Mishma and Dumah and Massa,
Genesis 25:15Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedmah.Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.Hadad and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:
Genesis 25:16These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, in their hamlets and their encampments twelve princes of their peoples.These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their villages, and by their encampments: twelve princes, according to their nations.These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names in their towns and their tent-circles; twelve chiefs with their peoples.
Genesis 25:17And these are the years of the life of Ishmael: a hundred and thirty-seven years; and he expired and died, and was gathered to his peoples.These are the years of the life of Ishmael: one hundred thirty-seven years. He gave up the spirit and died, and was gathered to his people.And the years of Ishmael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven: and he came to his end, and was put to rest with his people.
Genesis 25:18And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite to Egypt, as one goes towards Assyria. He settled before the face of all his brethren.They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.And their country was from Havilah to Shur which is east of Egypt: they took their place to the east of all their brothers.
Genesis 25:19And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son. Abraham begot Isaac.This is the history of the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son. Abraham became the father of Isaac.Now these are the generations of Abraham's son Isaac:
Genesis 25:20And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebecca as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian.Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian, to be his wife.Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramaean of Paddan-aram, and the sister of Laban the Aramaean, to be his wife.
Genesis 25:21And Isaac entreated Jehovah for his wife, because she was barren; and Jehovah was entreated of him, and Rebecca his wife conceived.Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.Isaac made prayer to the Lord for his wife because she had no children; and the Lord gave ear to his prayer, and Rebekah became with child.
Genesis 25:22And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of Jehovah.The children struggled together within her. She said, "If it be so, why do I live?" She went to inquire of Yahweh.And the children were fighting together inside her, and she said, If it is to be so, why am I like this? So she went to put her question to the Lord.
Genesis 25:23And Jehovah said to her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels; And one people shall be stronger than the other people, And the elder shall serve the younger.Yahweh said to her, Two nations are in your womb, Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.And the Lord said to her, Two nations are in your body, and two peoples will come to birth from you: the one will be stronger than the other, and the older will be the servant of the younger.
Genesis 25:24And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.And when the time came for her to give birth, there were two children in her body.
Genesis 25:25And the first came out red all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.The first came out red all over, like a hairy garment. They named him Esau.And the first came out red from head to foot like a robe of hair, and they gave him the name of Esau.
Genesis 25:26And after that came his brother out; and his hand took hold of Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was sixty years old when they were born.After that, his brother came out, and his hand had hold on Esau's heel. He was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.And after him, his brother came out, gripping Esau's foot; and he was named Jacob: Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.
Genesis 25:27And the boys grew, and Esau became a man skilled in hunting, a man of the field; and Jacob was a homely man, dwelling in tents.The boys grew. Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field. Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.And the boys came to full growth; and Esau became a man of the open country, an expert bowman; but Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.
Genesis 25:28And Isaac loved Esau, because venison was to his taste; and Rebecca loved Jacob.Now Isaac loved Esau, because he ate his venison. Rebekah loved Jacob.Now Isaac's love was for Esau, because Esau's meat was greatly to his taste: but Rebekah had more love for Jacob.
Genesis 25:29And Jacob had cooked a dish; and Esau came from the field, and he was faint.Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.And one day Jacob was cooking some soup when Esau came in from the fields in great need of food;
Genesis 25:30And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with the red the red thing there, for I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.Esau said to Jacob, "Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am famished." Therefore his name was called Edom.And Esau said to Jacob, Give me a full meal of that red soup, for I am overcome with need for food: for this reason he was named Edom.
Genesis 25:31And Jacob said, Sell me now thy birthright.Jacob said, "First, sell me your birthright."And Jacob said, First of all give me your birthright.
Genesis 25:32And Esau said, Behold, I am going to die, and of what use can the birthright be to me?Esau said, "Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?"And Esau said, Truly, I am at the point of death: what profit is the birthright to me?
Genesis 25:33And Jacob said, Swear unto me now. And he swore unto him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.Jacob said, "Swear to me first." He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.And Jacob said, First of all give me your oath; and he gave him his oath, handing over his birthright to Jacob.
Genesis 25:34And Jacob gave Esau bread and the dish of lentils; and he ate and drank, and rose up and went away. Thus Esau despised the birthright.Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils. He ate and drank, rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.Then Jacob gave him bread and soup; and he took food and drink and went away, caring little for his birthright.
