| Acts 10:1 | But a certain man in Caesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion of the band called Italic, | Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, Cornelius by name, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, | And there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of that which is called the Italian band; |
| Acts 10:2 | pious, and fearing God with all his house, [both] giving much alms to the people, and supplicating God continually, | a devout man, and one who feared God with all his house, who gave alms generously to the people, and always prayed to God. | A religious man, and fearing God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and always praying to God. |

| Acts 10:22 | And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and fearing God, and borne witness to by the whole nation of the Jews, has been divinely instructed by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and hear words from thee. | They said, "Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one who fears God, and well spoken of by all the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to invite you to his house, and to listen to what you say. | Who said: Cornelius, a centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and having good testimony from all the nation of the Jews, received an answer of an holy angel, to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. |

And on the morrow, rising up he went away with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa went with him. | So he called them in and lodged them.
