Acts 20:1But after the tumult had ceased, Paul having called the disciples to [him] and embraced [them], went away to go to Macedonia.After the uproar had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples, took leave of them, and departed to go into Macedonia.And after the tumult was ceased, Paul calling to him the disciples, and exhorting them, took his leave, and set forward to go into Macedonia.
Acts 20:2And having passed through those parts, and having exhorted them with much discourse, he came to Greece.When he had gone through those parts, and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.And when he had gone over those parts, and had exhorted them with many words, he came into Greece;
Acts 20:3And having spent three months [there], a treacherous plot against him having been set on foot by the Jews, as he was going to sail to Syria, [the] resolution was adopted of returning through Macedonia.When he had spent three months there, and a plot was made against him by Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he determined to return through Macedonia.Where, when he had spent three months, the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria; so he took a resolution to return through Macedonia.
Acts 20:4And there accompanied him as far as Asia, Sopater [son] of Pyrrhus, a Berean; and of Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius and Timotheus of Derbe, and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.These accompanied him as far as Asia: Sopater of Beroea; Aristarchus and Secundus of the Thessalonians; Gaius of Derbe; Timothy; and Tychicus and Trophimus of Asia.And there accompanied him Sopater the son of Pyrrhus, of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus, and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.
Acts 20:5These going before waited for us in Troas;But these had gone ahead, and were waiting for us at Troas.These going before, stayed for us at Troas.

Acts 20:7And the first day of the week, we being assembled to break bread, Paul discoursed to them, about to depart on the morrow. Acts 20:9And a certain youth, by name Eutychus, sitting at the window-opening, overpowered by deep sleep, while Paul discoursed very much at length, having been overpowered by the sleep, fell from the third story down to the bottom, and was taken up dead.A certain young man named Eutychus sat in the window, weighed down with deep sleep. As Paul spoke still longer, being weighed down by his sleep, he fell down from the third story, and was taken up dead.And a certain young man named Eutychus, sitting on the window, being oppressed with a deep sleep, (as Paul was long preaching,) by occasion of his sleep fell from the third loft down, and was taken up dead.
Acts 20:10But Paul descending fell upon him, and enfolding [him] [in his arms], said, Be not troubled, for his life is in him.Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, "Don't be troubled, for his life is in him."To whom, when Paul had gone down, he laid himself upon him, and embracing him, said: Be not troubled, for his soul is in him.
Acts 20:11And having gone up, and having broken the bread, and eaten, and having long spoken until daybreak, so he went away.When he had gone up, and had broken bread, and eaten, and had talked with them a long while, even until break of day, he departed.Then going up, and breaking bread and tasting, and having talked a long time to them, until daylight, so he departed.

Acts 20:13And we, having gone before on board ship, sailed off to Assos, going to take in Paul there; for so he had directed, he himself being about to go on foot.But we who went ahead to the ship set sail for Assos, there intending to take in Paul, for he had so arranged, intending himself to go by land.But we, going aboard the ship, sailed to Assos, being there to take in Paul; for so he had appointed, himself purposing to travel by land.
Acts 20:14And when he met with us at Assos, having taken him on board, we came to Mitylene;When he met us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.And when he had met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
Acts 20:15and having sailed thence, on the morrow arrived opposite Chios, and the next day put in at Samos; and having stayed at Trogyllium, the next day we came to Miletus:Sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Chios. The next day we touched at Samos and stayed at Trogyllium, and the day after we came to Miletus.And sailing thence, the day following we came over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos; and the day following we came to Miletus.
Acts 20:16for Paul thought it desirable to sail by Ephesus, so that he might not be made to spend time in Asia; for he hastened, if it was possible for him, to be the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest he should be stayed any time in Asia. For he hasted, if it were possible for him, to keep the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.
Acts 20:17But from Miletus having sent to Ephesus, he called over [to him] the elders of the assembly.From Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to himself the elders of the assembly.And sending from Miletus to Ephesus, he called the ancients of the church.
Acts 20:18And when they were come to him, he said to them, *Ye* know how I was with you all the time from the first day that I arrived in Asia,When they had come to him, he said to them, "You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time,And when they were come to him, and were together, he said to them: You know from the first day that I came into Asia, in what manner I have been with you, for all the time,
Acts 20:19serving the Lord with all lowliness, and tears, and temptations, which happened to me through the plots of the Jews;serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews;Serving the Lord with all humility, and with tears, and temptations which befell me by the conspiracies of the Jews;

Acts 20:22And now, behold, bound in my spirit *I* go to Jerusalem, not knowing what things shall happen to me in it;Now, behold, I go bound by the Spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there;And now, behold, being bound in the spirit, I go to Jerusalem: not knowing the things which shall befall me there:

Acts 20:24But I make no account of [my] life [as] dear to myself, so that I finish my course, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the glad tidings of the grace of God.But these things don't count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the gospel of the grace of God.But I fear none of these things, neither do I count my life more precious than myself, so that I may consummate my course and the ministry of the word which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Acts 20:25And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom [of God], shall see my face no more.Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.And now behold, I know that all you, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
Acts 20:26Wherefore I witness to you this day, that I am clean from the blood of all,Therefore I testify to you this day that I am clean from the blood of all men,Wherefore I take you to witness this day, that I am clear from the blood of all men;
Acts 20:27for I have not shrunk from announcing to you all the counsel of God.for I didn't shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.For I have not spared to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Acts 20:28Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, wherein the Holy Spirit has set you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God, which he has purchased with the blood of his own.Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and God which he purchased with his own blood.Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Acts 20:29[For] *I* know [this,] that there will come in amongst you after my departure grievous wolves, not sparing the flock;For I know that after my departure, vicious wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Acts 20:30and from among your own selves shall rise up men speaking perverted things to draw away the disciples after them.Men will arise from among your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.And of your own selves shall arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Acts 20:31Wherefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I ceased not admonishing each one [of you] with tears.Therefore watch, remembering that for a period of three years I didn't cease to admonish everyone night and day with tears.Therefore watch, keeping in memory, that for three years I ceased not, with tears to admonish every one of you night and day.

Acts 20:35I have shewed you all things, that thus labouring [we] ought to come in aid of the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive.
