| Hebrews 12:1 | Let *us* also therefore, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight, and sin which so easily entangles us, run with endurance the race that lies before us, | Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, | And therefore we also having so great a cloud of witnesses over our head, laying aside every weight and sin which surrounds us, let us run by patience to the fight proposed to us: |
| Hebrews 12:2 | looking stedfastly on Jesus the leader and completer of faith: who, in view of the joy lying before him, endured [the] cross, having despised [the] shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. | looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. | Looking on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who having joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and now sitteth on the right hand of the throne of God. |

God deals with you as with sons, for what son is there whom his father doesn't discipline? | Persevere under discipline. God dealeth with you as with his sons; for what son is there, whom the father doth not correct? |

| Hebrews 12:9 | Moreover we have had the fathers of our flesh as chasteners, and we reverenced [them]; shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live? | Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we paid them respect. For if those did not escape who had refused him who uttered the oracles on earth, much more we who turn away from him [who does so] from heaven: | See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven, | See that you refuse him not that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke upon the earth, much more shall not we, that turn away from him that speaketh to us from heaven. |

| Hebrews 12:27 | But this Yet once, signifies the removing of what is shaken, as being made, that what is not shaken may remain. | This phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain. | And in that he saith, Yet once more, he signifieth the translation of the moveable things as made, that those things may remain which are immoveable. |
| Hebrews 12:28 | Wherefore let us, receiving a kingdom not to be shaken, have grace, by which let us serve God acceptably with reverence and fear. | Therefore, receiving a kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may offer service well pleasing to God, with reverence and awe, | Therefore receiving an immoveable kingdom, we have grace; whereby let us serve, pleasing God, with fear and reverence. |
