| Matthew 11:1 | And it came to pass when Jesus had finished commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and preach in their cities. | It happened that when Jesus had finished directing his twelve disciples, he departed there to teach and preach in their cities. | And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he passed from thence, to teach and preach in their cities. |
| Matthew 11:2 | But John, having heard in the prison the works of the Christ, sent by his disciples, | Now when John heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples | Now when John had heard in prison the works of Christ: sending two of his disciples he said to him: |
| Matthew 11:3 | and said to him, Art *thou* the coming [one]? or are we to wait for another? | and said to him, "Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?" | Art thou he that art to come, or look we for another? |

| Matthew 11:8 | But what went ye out to see? a man clothed in delicate raiment? behold, those who wear delicate things are in the houses of kings. | But what did you go out to see? A man in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in king's houses. | But what went you out to see? a man clothed in soft garments? Behold they that are clothed in soft garments, are in the houses of kings. |

| Matthew 11:11 | Verily I say to you, that there is not arisen among [the] born of women a greater than John the baptist. But he who is a little one in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he. | Most assuredly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. | Amen I say to you, there hath not risen among them that are born of women a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is the lesser in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. |

| Matthew 11:19 | The Son of man has come eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a man [that is] eating and wine-drinking, a friend of tax-gatherers, and of sinners: and wisdom has been justified by her children. | The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' | Matthew 11:20 | Then began he to reproach the cities in which most of his works of power had taken place, because they had not repented. | Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works were done, because they didn't repent. | Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein were done the most of his miracles, for that they had not done penance. |
| Matthew 11:21 | Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee Bethsaida! for if the works of power which have taken place in you, had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they had long ago repented in sackcloth and ashes. | "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. | Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida: for if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in you, they had long ago done penance in sackcloth and ashes. |

For if the works of power which have taken place in thee, had taken place in Sodom, it had remained until this day. | You, Capernaum, who are exalted to Heaven, you will go down to Hades. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until this day. | And thou Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted up to heaven? thou shalt go down even unto hell. For if in Sodom had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in thee, perhaps it had remained unto this day. |
