| Matthew 8:1 | And when he had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. | When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. | And when he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him: |
| Matthew 8:2 | And behold, a leper came up to [him] and did him homage, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me. | Behold, a leper came to him and worshipped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." | And behold a leper came and adored him, saying: Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. |
| Matthew 8:3 | And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be cleansed. | Matthew 8:28 | And there met him, when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding dangerous, so that no one was able to pass by that way. | When he came to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two people possessed with demons met him there, coming forth out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man could pass by that way. | And when he was come on the other side of the water, into the country of the Gerasens, there met him two that were possessed with devils, coming out of the sepulchres, exceeding fierce, so that none could pass by that way. |

But they going out went into the swine, and behold the whole herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea: and they perished in the waters. |
