Matthew 25:1Then shall the kingdom of the heavens be made like to ten virgins that having taken their torches, went forth to meet the bridegroom."Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Matthew 25:2And five of them were prudent and five foolish.Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
Matthew 25:3They that were foolish took their torches and did not take oil with them; Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
Matthew 25:4but the prudent took oil in their vessels with their torches.but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Matthew 25:5Now the bridegroom tarrying, they all grew heavy and slept. Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Matthew 25:6But in [the] middle of [the] night there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom; go forth to meet him.But at midnight there was a cry, 'Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!'And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Matthew 25:7Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their torches. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Matthew 25:8And the foolish said to the prudent, Give us of your oil, for our torches are going out.The foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Matthew 25:9But the prudent answered saying, [We cannot,] lest it might not suffice for us and for you. Go rather to those that sell, and buy for yourselves. But the wise answered, saying, 'What if there will not be enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
Matthew 25:10But as they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and the [ones that were] ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Matthew 25:11Afterwards come also the rest of the virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us;Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us.'Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
Matthew 25:12but he answering said, Verily I say unto you, I do not know you.But he answered, 'Most assuredly I tell you, I don't know you.'But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Matthew 25:13Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matthew 25:14For [it is] as [if] a man going away out of a country called his own bondmen and delivered to them his substance."For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and delivered his goods to them. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
Matthew 25:15And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his particular ability, and immediately went away out of the country. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability, and he went on his journey. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Matthew 25:16And he that had received the five talents went and trafficked with them, and made five other talents.Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
Matthew 25:17In like manner also he that [had received] the two, [he also] gained two others. In like manner he also who got the two gained another two.And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
Matthew 25:18But he that had received the one went and dug in the earth, and hid the money of his lord. But he who received the one went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Matthew 25:19And after a long time the lord of those bondmen comes and reckons with them. Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
Matthew 25:20And he that had received the five talents came to [him] and brought five other talents, saying, [My] lord, thou deliveredst me five talents; behold, I have gained five other talents besides them.He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.'And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
Matthew 25:21His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter into the joy of thy lord. His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:22And he also that had received the two talents came to [him] and said, [My] lord, thou deliveredst me two talents; behold, I have gained two other talents besides them.He also who got the two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.'He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
Matthew 25:23His lord said to him, Well, good and faithful bondman, thou wast faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:24And he also that had received the one talent coming to [him] said, [My] lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hadst not sowed, and gathering from where thou hadst not scattered,He also who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
Matthew 25:25and being afraid I went away and hid thy talent in the earth; behold, thou hast that which is thine.I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have your own.'And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
Matthew 25:26And his lord answering said to him, Wicked and slothful bondman, thou knewest that I reap where I had not sowed, and gather from where I had not scattered; But his lord answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn't sow, and gather where I didn't scatter. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Matthew 25:27thou oughtest then to have put my money to the money-changers, and when I came I should have got what is mine with interest. You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Matthew 25:28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that has the ten talents:Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
Matthew 25:29for to every one that has shall be given, and he shall be in abundance; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken away. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
Matthew 25:30And cast out the useless bondman into the outer darkness; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.'And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 25:31But when the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit down upon his throne of glory,"But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then will he sit on the throne of his glory. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Matthew 25:32and all the nations shall be gathered before him; and he shall separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33and he will set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on [his] left.He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Matthew 25:34Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from [the] world's foundation:Then the King will tell them on his right hand, 'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Matthew 25:35for I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in;For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Matthew 25:36naked, and ye clothed me; I was ill, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.'Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Matthew 25:37Then shall the righteous answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, and nourished thee; or thirsting, and gave thee to drink? Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Matthew 25:38and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in; or naked, and clothed thee? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Matthew 25:39and when saw we thee ill, or in prison, and came to thee? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?'Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Matthew 25:40And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.The King will answer them, 'Most assuredly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:41Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:Then will he say also to them on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Matthew 25:42for I hungered, and ye gave me not to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me not to drink;for I was hungry, and you didn't give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Matthew 25:43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye did not clothe me; ill, and in prison, and ye did not visit me.I was a stranger, and you didn't take me in; naked, and you didn't clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn't visit me.'I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Matthew 25:44Then shall *they* also answer saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and have not ministered to thee? Then will they also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not help you?'Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Matthew 25:45Then shall he answer them saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have not done it to one of these least, neither have ye done it to me.Then will he answer them, saying, 'Most assuredly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of these least, you didn't do it to me.'Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
Matthew 25:46And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and the righteous into life eternal. These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
