| Romans 9:1 | I say [the] truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in [the] Holy Spirit, | I tell the truth in Christ. I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Holy Spirit, | I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, |
| Romans 9:2 | that I have great grief and uninterrupted pain in my heart, | that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart. | That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. |

Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, "Why did you make me like this?" | Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? |
| Romans 9:21 | Or has not the potter authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honour, and another to dishonour? | Or hasn't the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor? | Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? |

That [they of the] nations, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained righteousness, but [the] righteousness that is on the principle of faith. | What will we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn't follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith; | What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. |
| Romans 9:31 | But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to [that] law. | but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn't arrive at the law of righteousness. | But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. |
| Romans 9:32 | Wherefore? Because [it was] not on the principle of faith, but as of works. They have stumbled at the stumblingstone, | Why? Because they didn't seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone; | Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; |
| Romans 9:33 | according as it is written, Behold, I place in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offence: and he that believes on him shall not be ashamed. | even as it is written, "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. And no one who believes in him will be put to shame." | As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. |
