Matthew 28:1Now late on sabbath, as it was the dusk of the next day after sabbath, came Mary of Magdala and the other Mary to look at the sepulchre.Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.After the Sabbath, in the early dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre.
Matthew 28:2And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of [the] Lord, descending out of heaven, came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky, and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it.But to their amazement there had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord had descended from Heaven, and had come and rolled back the stone, and was sitting upon it.

Matthew 28:5And the angel answering said to the women, Fear not *ye*, for I know that ye seek Jesus the crucified one.The angel answered the women, "Don't be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified.But the angel said to the women, "As for you, dismiss your fears. I know that it is Jesus that you are looking for the crucified One.
Matthew 28:6He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.He is not here: He has come back to life, as He foretold. Come and see the place where He lay.
Matthew 28:7And go quickly and say to his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goes before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him. Behold, I have told you.Go quickly and tell his disciples, 'He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.' Behold, I have told you."And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead and is going before you into Galilee: there you shall see Him. Remember, I have told you."
Matthew 28:8And going out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to bring his disciples word.They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word.They quickly left the tomb and ran, still terrified but full of unspeakable joy, to carry the news to His disciples.
Matthew 28:9And as they went to bring his disciples word, behold also, Jesus met them, saying, Hail! And they coming up took him by the feet, and did him homage.As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.And then suddenly they saw Jesus coming to meet them. "Peace be to you," He said. And they came and clasped His feet, bowing to the ground before Him.
Matthew 28:10Then Jesus says to them, Fear not; go, bring word to my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.Then Jesus said to them, "Don't be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they may go into Galilee, and there they will see me."Then He said, "Dismiss all fear! Go and take word to my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me."
Matthew 28:11And as they went, behold, some of the watch went into the city, and brought word to the chief priests of all that had taken place.Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city, and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.While they went on this errand, some of the guards came into the city and reported to the High Priests every detail of what had happened.
Matthew 28:12And having assembled with the elders, and having taken counsel, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,When they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers,So the latter held a conference with the Elders, and after consultation with them they heavily bribed the soldiers,
Matthew 28:13saying, Say that his disciples coming by night stole him [while] we [were] sleeping.saying, "Say that his disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.telling them to say, "His disciples came during the night and stole his body while we were asleep."
Matthew 28:14And if this should come to the hearing of the governor, *we* will persuade him, and save *you* from all anxiety.If this comes to the governor's ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.""And if this," they added, "is reported to the Governor, we will satisfy him and screen you from punishment."
Matthew 28:15And they took the money and did as they had been taught. And this report is current among the Jews until this day.So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until this day.So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this story was noised about among the Jews, and is current to this day.

Matthew 28:18And Jesus coming up spoke to them, saying, All power has been given me in heaven and upon earth.Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.Jesus however came near and said to them, "All power in Heaven and over the earth has been given to me.
Matthew 28:19Go [therefore] and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations; baptize them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
Matthew 28:20teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have enjoined you. And behold, *I* am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.teaching them to observe all things which I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.and teach them to obey every command which I have given you. And remember, I am with you always, day by day, until the Close of the Age."
