| Ezekiel 27:1 | And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying: | And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying: | And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| Ezekiel 27:2 | And thou, son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre, | `And thou, son of man, lift up concerning Tyre a lamentation, and thou hast said to Tyre: | Thou therefore, O son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre: |
| Ezekiel 27:3 | and say unto Tyre: O thou that art situate at the entries of the sea, and traffickest with the peoples in many isles, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, Tyre, hast said, I am perfect in beauty. | O dweller on the entrances of the sea, Merchant of the peoples unto many isles, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, thou thou hast said: I [am] the perfection of beauty. | And say to Tyre that dwelleth at the entry of the sea, being the mart of the people for many islands: Thus saith the Lord God: O Tyre, thou hast said: I am of perfect beauty, |
| Ezekiel 27:4 | Thy borders are in the heart of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty. | In the heart of the seas [are] thy borders, Thy builders have perfected thy beauty. | And situate in the heart of the sea. Thy neighbours, that built thee, have perfected thy beauty: |
| Ezekiel 27:5 | They made all thy double boards of cypress-trees of Senir; they took cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee. | Of firs of Senir they have built to thee all thy double-boarded ships, Of cedars of Lebanon they have taken to make a mast for thee, | With fir trees of Sanir they have built thee with all sea planks: they have taken cedars from Libanus to make thee masts. |
| Ezekiel 27:6 | Of the oaks of Bashan did they make thine oars; they made thy benches of ivory, inlaid in box-wood, out of the isles of Chittim. | Of oaks of Bashan they made thine oars, Thy bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim. | They have cut thy oars out of the oaks of Basan: and they have made thee benches of Indian ivory and cabins with things brought from the islands of Italy. |
| Ezekiel 27:7 | Byssus with broidered work from Egypt was thy sail, to serve thee for a banner; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thine awning. | Of fine linen with embroidery from Egypt hath been thy sail, To be to thee for an ensign, Of blue and purple from isles of Elishah hath been thy covering. | Fine broidered linen from Egypt was woven for thy sail, to be spread on thy mast: blue and purple from the islands of Elisa, were made thy covering. |
| Ezekiel 27:8 | The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, who were in thee, were thy pilots. | Inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad have been rowers to thee, Thy wise men, O Tyre, have been in thee, They [are] thy pilots. | The inhabitants of Sidon, and the Arabians were thy rowers : thy wise men, O Tyre, were thy pilots. |
| Ezekiel 27:9 | The elders of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee repairing thy leaks; all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee, to barter with thee. | Elders of Gebal and its wise men have been in thee, Strengthening thy breach; All ships of the sea and their mariners, Have been in thee, to trade [with] thy merchandise. | The ancients of Gebal, and the wise men thereof furnished mariners for the service of thy various furniture: all the ships of the sea, and their mariners were thy factors. |
| Ezekiel 27:10 | Persia and Lud and Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged shield and helmet in thee; they gave splendour to thee. | Persian and Lud and Phut Have been in thy forces thy men of war. Shield and helmet they hung up in thee, They they have given out thine honour. | The Persians, and Lydians, and the Libyans were thy soldiers in thy army: they hung up the buckler and the helmet in thee for thy ornament. |
| Ezekiel 27:11 | The children of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadim were on thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they made thy beauty perfect. | The sons of Arvad, and thy force, [Are] on thy walls round about, And short swordsmen in thy towers have been, Their shields they have hung up on thy walls round about, They they have perfected thy beauty. | The men of Arad were with thy army upon thy walls round about: the Pygmeans also that were in thy towers, hung up their quivers on thy walls round about: they perfected thy beauty. |
| Ezekiel 27:12 | Tarshish dealt with thee by reason of the abundance of all substance; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they furnished thy markets. | Tarshish [is] thy merchant, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For silver, iron, tin, and lead, They have given out thy remnants. | The Carthaginians thy merchants supplied thy fairs with a multitude of all kinds of riches, with silver, iron, tin, and lead. |
| Ezekiel 27:13 | Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy traffickers: they bartered with thee the persons of men, and vessels of bronze. | Javan, Tubal, and Meshech they [are] thy merchants, For persons of men, and vessels of brass, They have given out thy merchandise. | Greece, Thubal, and Mosoch, they were thy merchants: they brought to thy people slaves and vessels of brass. |

| Ezekiel 27:15 | The children of Dedan were thy traffickers; many isles were the mart of thy hand: they rendered in payment horns of ivory, and ebony. | Sons of Dedan [are] thy merchants, Many isles [are] the mart of thy hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back thy reward. | The men of Dedan were thy merchants: many islands were the traffic of thy hand, they exchanged for thy price teeth of ivory and ebony. |
| Ezekiel 27:16 | Syria dealt with thee for the multitude of thy handiworks: they traded in thy markets with carbuncles, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and corals, and rubies. | Aram [is] thy merchant, Because of the abundance of thy works, For emerald, purple, and embroidery, And fine linen, and coral, and agate, They have given out thy remnants. | The Syrian was thy merchant: by reason of the multitude of thy works, they set forth precious stones, and purple, and broidered works, and fine linen, and silk, and chodchod in thy market. |

| Ezekiel 27:27 | Thy substance, and thy markets, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, they that repair thy leaks, and they that barter with thee, and all thy men of war that are in thee, along with all thine assemblage which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy fall. | Thy wealth and thy remnants, Thy merchandise, thy mariners, And thy pilots, strengtheners of thy breach, And the traders of thy merchandise, And all thy men of war, who [are] in thee, And in all thine assembly that [is] in thy midst, Fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy fall, | Thy riches, and thy treasures, and thy manifold furniture, thy mariners, and thy pilots, who kept thy goods, and were chief over thy people: thy men of war also, that were in thee, with all thy multitude that is in the midst of thee: shall fall in the heart of the sea in the day of thy ruin. |

| Ezekiel 27:29 | And all that handle the oar, the mariners, all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land, | And come down from their ships have all handling an oar, Mariners, all the pilots of the sea, on the land they stand, | And all that handled the oar shall come down from their ships: the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea shall stand upon the land: |
| Ezekiel 27:30 | and shall cause their voice to be heard over thee, and shall cry bitterly; and they shall cast up dust upon their heads; they shall wallow themselves in ashes. | And have sounded for thee with their voice, And cry bitterly, and cause dust to go up on their heads, In ashes they do roll themselves. | And they shall mourn over thee with a loud voice, and shall cry bitterly: and they shall cast up dust upon their heads, and shall be sprinkled with ashes. |
| Ezekiel 27:31 | And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird themselves with sackcloth; and they shall weep for thee in bitterness of soul with bitter mourning. | And they have made for thee baldness, And they have girded on sackcloth, And they have wept for thee, In bitterness of soul a bitter mourning. | And they shall shave themselves bald for thee, and shall be girded with haircloth: and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of soul, with most bitter weeping. |
| Ezekiel 27:32 | And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, [saying,] Who is like Tyre, like her that is destroyed in the midst of the sea? | And lifted up for thee have their sons a lamentation, And they have lamented over thee, who [is] as Tyre? As the cut-off one in the midst of the sea? | And they shall take up a mournful song for thee, and snail lament thee: What city is like Tyre, which is become silent in the midst of the sea? |
| Ezekiel 27:33 | When thy wares went forth over the seas, thou filledst many peoples; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the abundance of thy substance and of thy merchandise. | With the outgoing of thy remnants from the seas, Thou hast filled many peoples, With the abundance of thy riches, and thy merchandise, Thou hast made rich things of earth. | Which by thy merchandise that went from thee by sea didst fill many people: which by the multitude of thy riches, and of thy people didst enrich the kings of the earth. |
| Ezekiel 27:34 | In the time [when] thou art broken by the seas, in the depths of the waters, thy merchandise and all thine assemblage in the midst of thee have fallen. | The time of [thy] being broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, Thy merchandise and all thy assembly in thy midst have fallen. | Now thou art destroyed by the sea, thy riches are in the bottom of the waters, and all the multitude that was in the midst of thee is fallen. |
| Ezekiel 27:35 | All the inhabitants of the isles are amazed at thee, and their kings are horribly afraid, [their] countenance is troubled. | All inhabitants of the isles have been astonished at thee, And their kings have been sore afraid, They have been troubled in countenance. | All the inhabitants of the islands are astonished at thee: and all their kings being struck with the storm have changed their countenance. |
| Ezekiel 27:36 | The merchants among the peoples hiss at thee; thou art become a terror, and thou shalt never be any more. | Merchants among the peoples have shrieked for thee, Wastes thou hast been, and thou art not to the age!` | The merchants of people have hissed at thee: thou art brought to nothing, and thou shalt never be any more. |
