Matthew 7:1 | Judge not, that ye may not be judged; | `Judge not, that ye may not be judged, | Judge not, that you may not be judged, |
Matthew 7:2 | for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you. | for in what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and in what measure ye measure, it shall be measured to you. | For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again. |
Matthew 7:3 | But why lookest thou on the mote that is in the eye of thy brother, but observest not the beam that is in thine eye? | `And why dost thou behold the mote that [is] in thy brother`s eye, and the beam that [is] in thine own eye dost not consider? | Any why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye? |
Matthew 7:4 | Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Allow [me], I will cast out the mote from thine eye; and behold, the beam is in thine eye? | or, how wilt thou say to thy brother, Suffer I may cast out the mote from thine eye, and lo, the beam [is] in thine own eye? | Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye? |
Matthew 7:5 | Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine eye, and then thou wilt see clearly to cast out the mote out of the eye of thy brother. | Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother`s eye. | Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam in thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. |
Matthew 7:6 | Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them with their feet, and turning round rend you. | `Ye may not give that which is [holy] to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, that they may not trample them among their feet, and having turned may rend you. | Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you. |
Matthew 7:7 | Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. | `Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you; | Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. |
Matthew 7:8 | For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. | for every one who is asking doth receive, and he who is seeking doth find, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened. | For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened. |
Matthew 7:9 | Or what man is there of you who, if his son shall ask of him a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; | `Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf a stone will he present to him? | Or what man is there among you, of whom if his son shall ask bread, will he reach him a stone? |
Matthew 7:10 | and if he ask a fish, will give him a serpent? | and if a fish he may ask a serpent will he present to him? | Or if he shall ask him a fish, will he reach him a serpent? |
Matthew 7:11 | If therefore *ye*, being wicked, know [how] to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him? | if, therefore, ye being evil, have known good gifts to give to your children, how much more shall your Father who [is] in the heavens give good things to those asking him? | If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more will your Father who is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him? |
Matthew 7:12 | Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do *ye* also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. | `All things, therefore, whatever ye may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets. | All things therefore whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you also to them. For this is the law and the prophets. |
Matthew 7:13 | Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it. | `Go ye in through the strait gate, because wide [is] the gate, and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it; | Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat. |
Matthew 7:14 | For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it. | how strait [is] the gate, and compressed the way that is leading to the life, and few are those finding it! | How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it! |
Matthew 7:15 | But beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves. | `But, take heed of the false prophets, who come unto you in sheep`s clothing, and inwardly are ravening wolves. | Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. |
Matthew 7:16 | By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather a bunch of grapes from thorns, or from thistles figs? | From their fruits ye shall know them; do [men] gather from thorns grapes? or from thistles figs? | By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? |
Matthew 7:17 | So every good tree produces good fruits, but the worthless tree produces bad fruits. | so every good tree doth yield good fruits, but the bad tree doth yield evil fruits. | Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. |
Matthew 7:18 | A good tree cannot produce bad fruits, nor a worthless tree produce good fruits. | A good tree is not able to yield evil fruits, nor a bad tree to yield good fruits. | A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. |
Matthew 7:19 | Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. | Every tree not yielding good fruit is cut down and is cast to fire: | Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. |
Matthew 7:20 | By their fruits then surely ye shall know them. | therefore from their fruits ye shall know them. | Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. |
Matthew 7:21 | Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he that does the will of my Father who is in the heavens. | `Not every one who is saying to me Lord, lord, shall come into the reign of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens. | Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. |
Matthew 7:22 | Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied through *thy* name, and through *thy* name cast out demons, and through *thy* name done many works of power? | Many will say to me in that day, Lord, lord, have we not in thy name prophesied? and in thy name cast out demons? and in thy name done many mighty things? | Many will say to me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in thy name, and cast out devils in thy name, and done many miracles in thy name? |
Matthew 7:23 | and then will I avow unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, workers of lawlessness. | and then I will acknowledge to them, that I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness. | And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. |
Matthew 7:24 | Whoever therefore hears these my words and does them, I will liken him to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock; | `Therefore, every one who doth hear of me these words, and doth do them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock; | Every one therefore that heareth these my words, and doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock, |
Matthew 7:25 | and the rain came down, and the streams came, and the winds blew and fell upon that house, and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. | and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell not, for it had been founded on the rock. | And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock. |
Matthew 7:26 | And every one who hears these my words and does not do them, he shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand; | `And every one who is hearing of me these words, and is not doing them, shall be likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; | And every one that heareth these my words, and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand, |
Matthew 7:27 | and the rain came down, and the streams came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell, and its fall was great. | and the rain did descend, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.` | And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall thereof. |
Matthew 7:28 | And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his doctrine, | And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, | And it came to pass when Jesus had fully ended these words, the people were in admiration at his doctrine. |
Matthew 7:29 | for he taught them as having authority, and not as their scribes. | for he was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes. | For he was teaching them as one having power, and not as the scribes and Pharisees. |
