Luke 13:1Now at the same time there were present some who told him of the Galileans whose blood Pilate mingled with [that of] their sacrifices.And there were present certain at that time, telling him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate did mingle with their sacrifices;There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
Luke 13:2And he answering said to them, Think ye that these Galileans were sinners beyond all the Galileans because they suffered such things?and Jesus answering said to them, `Think ye that these Galileans became sinners beyond all the Galileans, because they have suffered such things?And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
Luke 13:3No, I say to you, but if ye repent not, ye shall all perish in the same manner.No I say to you, but, if ye may not reform, all ye even so shall perish.I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:4Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, think ye that *they* were debtors beyond all the men who dwell in Jerusalem?`Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them; think ye that these became debtors beyond all men who are dwelling in Jerusalem?Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
Luke 13:5No, I say to you, but if ye repent not, ye shall all perish in like manner.No I say to you, but, if ye may not reform, all ye in like manner shall perish.`I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:6And he spoke this parable: A certain [man] had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit upon it and did not find [any].And he spake this simile: `A certain one had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit in it, and he did not find;He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
Luke 13:7And he said to the vinedresser, Behold, [these] three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree and find none: cut it down; why does it also render the ground useless?and he said unto the vine-dresser, Lo, three years I come seeking fruit in this fig-tree, and do not find, cut it off, why also the ground doth it render useless?Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
Luke 13:8But he answering says to him, Sir, let it alone for this year also, until I shall dig about it and put dung,`And he answering saith to him, Sir, suffer it also this year, till that I may dig about it, and cast in dung;And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
Luke 13:9and if it shall bear fruit but if not, after that thou shalt cut it down.and if indeed it may bear fruit ; and if not so, thereafter thou shalt cut it off.`And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Luke 13:11And lo, [there was] a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent together and wholly unable to lift her head up.and lo, there was a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bowed together, and not able to bend back at all,And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
Luke 13:12And Jesus, seeing her, called to [her], and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.and Jesus having seen her, did call [her] near, and said to her, `Woman, thou hast been loosed from thy infirmity;`And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
Luke 13:13And he laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.and he laid on her [his] hands, and presently she was set upright, and was glorifying God.And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Luke 13:14But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus healed on the sabbath, answering said to the crowd, There are six days in which [people] ought to work; in these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.And the chief of the synagogue answering much displeased that on the sabbath Jesus healed said to the multitude, `Six days there are in which it behoveth [us] to be working; in these, then, coming, be healed, and not on the sabbath-day.`And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
Luke 13:15The Lord therefore answered him and said, Hypocrites! does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the manger and leading [it] away, water [it]?Then the Lord answered him and said, `Hypocrite, doth not each of you on the sabbath loose his ox or ass from the stall, and having led away, doth water [it]?The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Luke 13:16And this [woman], who is a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, [these] eighteen years, ought she not to be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?and this one, being a daughter of Abraham, whom the Adversary bound, lo, eighteen years, did it not behove to be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?`And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Luke 13:17And as he said these things, all who were opposed to him were ashamed; and all the crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things which were being done by him.And he saying these things, all who were opposed to him were being ashamed, and all the multitude were rejoicing over all the glorious things that are being done by him.And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
Luke 13:18And he said, To what is the kingdom of God like? and to what shall I liken it?And he said, `To what is the reign of God like? and to what shall I liken it?Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
Luke 13:19It is like a grain of mustard [seed] which a man took and cast into his garden; and it grew and became a great tree, and the birds of heaven lodged in its branches.It is like to a grain of mustard, which a man having taken, did cast into his garden, and it increased, and came to a great tree, and the fowls of the heavens did rest in its branches.`It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
Luke 13:20And again he said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?And again he said, `To what shall I liken the reign of God?And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

Luke 13:24Strive with earnestness to enter in through the narrow door, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in and will not be able.`Be striving to go in through the straight gate, because many, I say to you, will seek to go in, and shall not be able;Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luke 13:25From the time that the master of the house shall have risen up and shall have shut the door, and ye shall begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he answering shall say to you, I know you not whence ye are:from the time the master of the house may have risen up, and may have shut the door, and ye may begin without to stand, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, lord, open to us, and he answering shall say to you, I have not known you whence ye are,When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Luke 13:26then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten in thy presence and drunk, and thou hast taught in our streets;then ye may begin to say, We did eat before thee, and did drink, and in our broad places thou didst teach;Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Luke 13:27and he shall say, I tell you, I do not know you whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity.and he shall say, I say to you, I have not known you whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of the unrighteousness.But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
Luke 13:28There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves cast out.`There shall be there the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth, when ye may see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the reign of God, and yourselves being cast out without;There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
Luke 13:29And they shall come from east and west, and from north and south, and shall lie down at table in the kingdom of God.and they shall come from east and west, and from north and south, and shall recline in the reign of God,And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
Luke 13:30And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.and lo, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.`And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
Luke 13:31The same hour certain Pharisees came up, saying to him, Get out, and go hence, for Herod is desirous to kill thee.On that day there came near certain Pharisees, saying to him, `Go forth, and be going on hence, for Herod doth wish to kill thee;`The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
Luke 13:32And he said to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and accomplish cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third [day] I am perfected;and he said to them, `Having gone, say to this fox, Lo, I cast forth demons, and perfect cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third [day] I am being perfected;And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
Luke 13:33but I must needs walk to-day and to-morrow and the [day] following, for it must not be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.but it behoveth me to-day, and to-morrow, and the [day] following, to go on, because it is not possible for a prophet to perish out of Jerusalem.Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
Luke 13:34Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the [city] that kills the prophets and stones those that are sent unto her, how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen her brood under her wings, and ye would not.`Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that is killing the prophets, and stoning those sent unto her, how often did I will to gather together thy children, as a hen her brood under the wings, and ye did not will.O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
Luke 13:35Behold, your house is left unto you; and I say unto you, that ye shall not see me until it come that ye say, Blessed [is] he that comes in the name of [the] Lord.`Lo, your house is being left to you desolate, and verily I say to you ye may not see me, till it may come, when ye may say, Blessed [is] he who is coming in the name of the Lord.`Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
