Galatians 6:1 | Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest *thou* also be tempted. | Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, ye who [are] spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also may be tempted; | Brethren, if anybody be detected in any misconduct, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of meekness. And let each of you keep watch over himself, lest he also fall into temptation. |
Galatians 6:2 | Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfil the law of the Christ. | of one another the burdens bear ye, and so fill up the law of the Christ, | Always carry one another's burdens, and so obey the whole of Christ's Law. |
Galatians 6:3 | For if any man reputes himself to be something, being nothing, he deceives himself; | for if any one doth think [himself] to be something being nothing himself he doth deceive; | For if there is any one who thinks himself to be somebody when he is nobody, he is deluding himself. |
Galatians 6:4 | but let each prove his own work, and then he will have his boast in what belongs to himself alone, and not in what belongs to another. | and his own work let each one prove, and then in regard to himself alone the glorying he shall have, and not in regard to the other, | But let every man scrutinize his own conduct, and then he will find out, not with reference to another but with reference to himself, what he has to boast of. |
Galatians 6:5 | For each shall bear his own burden. | for each one his own burden shall bear. | For every man will have to carry his own load. |
Galatians 6:6 | Let him that is taught in the word communicate to him that teaches in all good things. | And let him who is instructed in the word share with him who is instructing in all good things. | But let those who receive instruction in Christian truth share with their instructors all temporal blessings. |
Galatians 6:7 | Be not deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap. | Be not led astray; God is not mocked; for what a man may sow that also he shall reap, | Do not deceive yourselves. God is not to be scoffed at. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. |
Galatians 6:8 | For he that sows to his own flesh, shall reap corruption from the flesh; but he that sows to the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap eternal life: | because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during; | He who sows in the field of his lower nature, will from that nature reap destruction; but he who sows to serve the Spirit will from the Spirit reap the Life of the Ages. |
Galatians 6:9 | but let us not lose heart in doing good; for in due time, if we do not faint, we shall reap. | and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper time we shall reap not desponding; | Let us not abate our courage in doing what is right; for in due time we shall reap a reward, if we do not faint. |
Galatians 6:10 | So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith. | therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith. | So then, as we have opportunity, let us labour for the good of all, and especially of those who belong to the household of the faith. |
Galatians 6:11 | See how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand. | Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand; | See in what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. |
Galatians 6:12 | As many as desire to have a fair appearance in [the] flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted because of the cross of Christ. | as many as are willing to make a good appearance in the flesh, these constrain you to be circumcised only that for the cross of the Christ they may not be persecuted, | All who desire to display their zeal for external observances try to compel you to receive circumcision, but their real object is simply to escape being persecuted for the Cross of Christ. |
Galatians 6:13 | For neither do they that are circumcised themselves keep the law; but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh. | for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory. | For these very men do not really keep the Law of Moses, but they would have you receive circumcision in order that they may glory in *your* bodies. |
Galatians 6:14 | But far be it from me to boast save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom [the] world is crucified to me, and I to the world. | And for me, let it not be to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world; | But as for me, God forbid that I should glory in anything except the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, upon which the world is crucified to me, and I am crucified to the world. |
Galatians 6:15 | For [in Christ Jesus] neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision; but new creation. | for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation; | For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any importance; but only a renewed nature. |
Galatians 6:16 | And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace upon them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. | and as many as by this rule do walk peace upon them, and kindness, and on the Israel of God! | And all who shall regulate their lives by this principle may peace and mercy be given to them and to the true Israel of God. |
Galatians 6:17 | For the rest let no one trouble me, for *I* bear in my body the brands of the Lord Jesus. | Henceforth, let no one give me trouble, for I the scars of the Lord Jesus in my body do bear. | From this time onward let no one trouble me; for, as for me, I bear, branded on my body, the scars of Jesus as my Master. |
Galatians 6:18 | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit, brethren. Amen. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with your spirit, brethren! Amen. | May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits, brethren. Amen. |
