| 1st-Peter 4:1 | Christ therefore having suffered in the flesh, be you also armed with the same thought: for he that hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sins: | Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; | So that as Jesus was put to death in the flesh, do you yourselves be of the same mind; for the death of the flesh puts an end to sin; |
| 1st-Peter 4:2 | That now he may live the rest of his time in the flesh , not after the desires of men, but according to the will of God. | that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. | So that you may give the rest of your lives in the flesh, not to the desires of men, but to the purpose of God. |

| 1st-Peter 4:19 | Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God, commend their souls in good deeds to the faithful Creator. | Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator. | For this reason let those who by the purpose of God undergo punishment, keep on in well-doing and put their souls into the safe hands of their Maker. |
