| Hebrews 11:1 | Now faith is the substance of things to be hoped for, the evidence of things that appear not. | Now faith is assurance of [things] hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. | Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the sign that the things not seen are true. |
| Hebrews 11:2 | For by this the ancients obtained a testimony. | For therein the elders had witness borne to them. | For by it our fathers had God's approval. |
