And it came about, on another Sabbath, that he went into the Synagogue and was teaching there. And a man was there whose right hand was dead.
Luke 6:7And the scribes and Pharisees watched if he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find an accusation against him.And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him. And the scribes and Pharisees were watching him to see if he would make him well on the Sabbath, so that they might be able to say something against him.
Luke 6:8But he knew their thoughts; and said to the man who had the withered hand: Arise, and stand forth in the midst. And rising he stood forth. But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man that had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. But he had knowledge of their thoughts; and he said to the man whose hand was dead, Get up and come into the middle. And he got up and came forward.
Luke 6:9Then Jesus said to them: I ask you, if it be lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil; to save life, or to destroy? And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it? And Jesus said, I put the question to you, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? to give life or to take it away?
Luke 6:10And looking round about on them all, he said to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored. And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did [so]: and his hand was restored. And looking round on all of them, he said to him, Put out your hand. And he did so: and his hand was made well.
Luke 6:11And they were filled with madness; and they talked one with another, what they might do to Jesus. But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. But they were full of wrath, and were talking together about what they might do to Jesus.
Luke 6:12And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and he passed the whole night in the prayer of God.And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God. And it came about in those days that he went out to the mountain for prayer; and he was all night in prayer to God.
Luke 6:13And when day was come, he called unto him his disciples; and he chose twelve of them (whom also he named apostles):And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles: And the day came and, turning to his disciples, he made a selection from among them of twelve, to whom he gave the name of Apostles;

Luke 6:18Who were come to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases. And they that were troubled with unclean spirits, were cured.and they that were troubled with unclean spirits were healed. And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were made well.
Luke 6:19And all the multitude sought to touch him, for virtue went out from him, and healed all.And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed [them] all. And all the people were desiring to be touched by him, for power came from him and made them all well.
Luke 6:20And he, lifting up his eyes on his disciples, said: Blessed are ye poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are] ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. And turning his eyes to his disciples he said, Happy are you who are poor: for the kingdom of God is yours.
Luke 6:21Blessed are ye that hunger now: for you shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for you shall laugh.Blessed [are] ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed [are] ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Happy are you who are in need of food now: for you will be made full. Happy are you who are weeping now; for you will be glad.
Luke 6:22Blessed shall you be when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Happy are you, when men have hate for you, and put you away from among them and say angry words to you, turning away in disgust at your name, because of the Son of man.
Luke 6:23Be glad in that day and rejoice; for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For according to these things did their fathers to the prophets.Rejoice in that day, and leap [for joy]: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets. Be glad in that day, and be lifted up for joy, for your reward in heaven will be great: for their fathers did these same things to the prophets.
Luke 6:24But woe to you that are rich: for you have your consolation. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. But unhappy are you who have wealth: for you have been comforted now.
Luke 6:25Woe to you that are filled: for you shall hunger. Woe to you that now laugh: for you shall mourn and weep.Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe [unto you], ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. Unhappy are you who are full of food now: for you will be in need. Unhappy are you who are laughing now: for you will be crying in sorrow.
Luke 6:26Woe to you when men shall bless you: for according to these things did their fathers to the false prophets.Woe [unto you], when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets. Unhappy are you when all men give you their approval: for so their fathers did to the false prophets.
Luke 6:27But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you.But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, But I say to you who give ear to me, Have love for those who are against you, do good to those who have hate for you,
Luke 6:28Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that calumniate you.bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you. Give blessing to those who give you curses, say prayers for those who are cruel to you.
Luke 6:29And to him that striketh thee on the one cheek, offer also the other. And him that taketh away from thee thy cloak, forbid not to take thy coat also.To him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also. If a man gives you a blow on one side of your face, then let the other side be turned to him; from him who takes away your coat, do not keep back your robe.
Luke 6:30Give to every one that asketh thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not again.Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. Give to everyone who comes with a request, and if a man takes away your property, make no attempt to get it back again.
Luke 6:31And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them in like manner. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Luke 6:32And if you love them that love you, what thanks are to you? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them. If you have love for those who have love for you, what credit is it to you? for even sinners have love for those who have love for them.
Luke 6:33And if you do good to them who do good to you, what thanks are to you? for sinners also do this. And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is it to you? for even sinners do the same.
Luke 6:34And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thanks are to you? for sinners also lend to sinners, for to receive as much. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much. And if you let those have the use of your money, from whom you are hoping to get it back, what credit is it to you? even sinners do so to sinners, hoping to get back as much as they gave.
Luke 6:35But love ye your enemies: do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby: and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful, and to the evil. But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. But be loving to those who are against you and do them good, and give them your money, not giving up hope, and your reward will be great and you will be the sons of the Most High: for he is kind to evil men, and to those who have hard hearts.
Luke 6:36Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Be full of pity, even as your Father is full of pity.
Luke 6:37Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released: Be not judges of others, and you will not be judged: do not give punishment to others, and you will not get punishment yourselves: make others free, and you will be made free:
Luke 6:38Give, and it shall be given to you: good measure and pressed down and shaken together and running over shall they give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you shall mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again. Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, crushed down, full and running over, they will give to you. For in the same measure as you give, it will be given to you again.
Luke 6:39And he spoke also to them a similitude: Can the blind lead the blind? do they not both fall into the ditch? And he spake also a parable unto them, Can the blind guide the blind? shall they not both fall into a pit? And he gave them teaching in the form of a story, saying, Is it possible for one blind man to be guide to another? will they not go falling together into a hole?
Luke 6:40The disciple is not above his master: but every one shall be perfect, if he be as his master. The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher. The disciple is not greater than his master, but everyone whose learning is complete will be like his master.
Luke 6:41And why seest thou the mote in thy brother's eye: but the beam that is in thy own eye thou considerest not?And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? And why do you take note of the grain of dust in your brother's eye, but take no note of the bit of wood which is in your eye?
Luke 6:42Or how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye, when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye? Hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from thy brother's eye.Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. How will you say to your brother, Brother, let me take the grain of dust out of your eye, when you yourself do not see the bit of wood in your eye? O false one! first take the wood out of your eye and then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your brother's eye.
Luke 6:43For there is no good tree that bringeth forth evil fruit; nor an evil tree that bringeth forth good fruit. For there is no good tree that bringeth forth corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bringeth forth good fruit. For no good tree gives bad fruit, and no bad tree gives good fruit.
Luke 6:44For every tree is known by its fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns; nor from a bramble bush do they gather the grape. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. For every tree is judged by its fruit. Men do not get figs from thorns, or grapes from blackberry plants.
Luke 6:45A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil [man] out of the evil [treasure] bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. The good man, out of the good store of his heart, gives good things; and the evil man, out of his evil store, gives evil: for out of the full store of the heart come the words of the mouth.
Luke 6:46And why call you me, Lord, Lord; and do not the things which I say?And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Why do you say to me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 6:47Every one that cometh to me, and heareth my words, and doth them, I will shew you to whom he is like.Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: Everyone who comes to me and gives ear to my words and does them, I will make clear to you what he is like:
Luke 6:48He is like to a man building a house, who digged deep, and laid the foundation upon a rock. And when a flood came, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and it could not shake it; for it was founded on a rock.he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded. He is like a man building a house, who went deep and put the base of it on a rock; and when the water came up and the river was driving against that house, it was not moved, because the building was good.
Luke 6:49But he that heareth, and doth not, is like to a man building his house upon the earth without a foundation: against which the stream beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great. But he who gives hearing, without doing, is like a man building a house on the earth without a base for it; and when the force of the river came against it, straight away it came down; and the destruction of that house was great.
