Mark 11:1And when they were drawing near to Jerusalem and to Bethania at the mount of Olives, he sendeth two of his disciples,And when they draw nigh unto Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth two of his disciples, And when they draw near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples,
Mark 11:2And saith to them: Go into the village that is over against you, and immediately at your coming in thither, you shall find a colt tied, upon which no man yet hath sat: loose him, and bring him.and saith unto them, Go your way into the village that is over against you: and straightway as ye enter into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon no man ever yet sat; loose him, and bring him. and says to them, Go into the village which is over against you, and immediately on entering into it ye will find a colt tied, upon which no [child] of man has ever sat: loose it and lead it [here].
Mark 11:3And if any man shall say to you, What are you doing? say ye that the Lord hath need of him: and immediately he will let him come hither.And if any one say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye, The Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him back hither. And if any one say to you, Why do ye this? say, The Lord has need of it; and straightway he sends it hither.
Mark 11:4And going their way, they found the colt tied before the gate without, in the meeting of two ways: and they loose him.And they went away, and found a colt tied at the door without in the open street; and they loose him. And they departed, and found a colt bound to the door without at the crossway, and they loose him.
Mark 11:5And some of them that stood there, said to them: What do you loosing the colt?And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt?
Mark 11:6Who said to them as Jesus had commanded them; and they let him go with them.And they said unto them even as Jesus had said: and they let them go. And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them [do it].
Mark 11:7And they brought the colt to Jesus; and they lay their garments on him, and he sat upon him.And they bring the colt unto Jesus, and cast on him their garments; and he sat upon him. And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;
Mark 11:8And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down boughs from the trees, and strewed them in the way.And many spread their garments upon the way; and others branches, which they had cut from the fields. and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees [and went on strewing them on the way].
Mark 11:9And they that went before and they that followed, cried, saying: Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord: And those going on before and those following cried out, Hosanna! blessed [be] he that comes in [the] Lord's name.
Mark 11:10Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.Blessed [is] the kingdom that cometh, [the kingdom] of our father David: Hosanna in the highest. Blessed [be] the coming kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest!
Mark 11:11And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple: and having viewed all things round about, when now the eventide was come, he went out to Bethania with the twelve.And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and when he had looked round about upon all things, it being now eventide, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve. And he entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and having looked round on all things, the hour being already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
Mark 11:12And the next day when they came out from Bethania, he was hungry.And on the morrow, when they were come out from Bethany, he hungered. And on the morrow, when they were gone out of Bethany, he hungered.
Mark 11:13And when he had seen afar off a fig tree having leaves, he came if perhaps he might find any thing on it. And when he was come to it, he found nothing but leaves. For it was not the time for figs.And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs. And seeing from afar off a fig-tree which had leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find something on it. And having come up to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the time of figs.
Mark 11:14And answering he said to it: May no man hereafter eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard it.And he answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit from thee henceforward for ever. And his disciples heard it. And answering he said to it, Let no one eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard [it].
Mark 11:15And they came to Jerusalem. And when he was entered into the temple, he began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the chairs of them that sold doves.And they come to Jerusalem: and he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and them that bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves; And they come to Jerusalem, and entering into the temple, he began to cast out those who sold and who bought in the temple, and he overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of the dove-sellers,
Mark 11:16And he suffered not that any man should carry a vessel through the temple;and he would not suffer that any man should carry a vessel through the temple. and suffered not that any one should carry any package through the temple.
Mark 11:17And he taught, saying to them: Is it not written, My house shall be called the house of prayer to all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves.And he taught, and said unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but ye have made it a den of robbers. And he taught saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but *ye* have made it a den of robbers.
Mark 11:18Which when the chief priests and the scribes had heard, they sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because the whole multitude was in admiration at his doctrine.And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, for all the multitude was astonished at his teaching. And the chief priests and the scribes heard [it], and they sought how they might destroy him; for they feared him, because all the crowd were astonished at his doctrine.
Mark 11:19And when evening was come, he went forth out of the city.And every evening he went forth out of the city. And when it was evening he went forth without the city.
Mark 11:20And when they passed by in the morning they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.And as they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots. And passing by early in the morning they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots.
Mark 11:21And Peter remembering, said to him: Rabbi, behold the fig tree, which thou didst curse, is withered away.And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Peter, remembering [what Jesus had said], says to him, Rabbi, see, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up.
Mark 11:22And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God.And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God.
Mark 11:23Amen I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not stagger in his heart, but believe, that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him.Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it. Verily I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken away and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says takes place, whatever he shall say shall come to pass for him.
Mark 11:24Therefore I say unto you, all things, whatsoever you ask when ye pray, believe that you shall receive; and they shall come unto you.Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you.
Mark 11:25And when you shall stand to pray, forgive, if you have aught against any man; that your Father also, who is in heaven, may forgive you your sins.And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one; that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences.
Mark 11:26But if you will not forgive, neither will your Father that is in heaven, forgive you your sins.[But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.] But if *ye* do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your offences.
Mark 11:27And they come again to Jerusalem. And when he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests and the scribes and the ancients,And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders; And they come again to Jerusalem. And as he walked about in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to him,
Mark 11:28And they say to him: By what authority dost thou these things? and who hath given thee this authority that thou shouldst do these things?and they said unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? or who gave thee this authority to do these things? and they say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority, that thou shouldest do these things?
Mark 11:29And Jesus answering, said to them: I will also ask you one word, and answer you me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.And Jesus said unto them, I will ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. And Jesus answering said to them, *I* also will ask you one thing, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:
Mark 11:30The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me.The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me. The baptism of John, was it of heaven, or of men? answer me.
Mark 11:31But they thought with themselves, saying: If we say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did you not believe him?And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; He will say, Why then did ye not believe him? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we should say, Of heaven, he will say, Why [then] have ye not believed him?
Mark 11:32If we say, From men, we fear the people. For all men counted John that he was a prophet indeed.But should we say, From men--they feared the people: for all verily held John to be a prophet. but should we say, Of men they feared the people; for all held of John that he was truly a prophet.
Mark 11:33And they answering, say to Jesus: We know not. And Jesus answering, saith to them: Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.And they answered Jesus and say, We know not. And Jesus saith unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. And they answering say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus [answering] says to them, Neither do *I* tell you by what authority I do these things.
