| Exodus 6:1 | And the Lord said to Moses: Now thou shalt see what I will do to Pharao: for by a mighty hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he cast them out of his land. | And Jehovah said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for by a strong hand shall he let them go, and by a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land. | |
| Exodus 6:2 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: I am the Lord, | And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am Jehovah: | |
| Exodus 6:3 | That appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty; and my name ADONAI I did not shew them. | and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Jehovah I was not known to them. | |
| Exodus 6:4 | And I made a covenant with them, to give them the land of Chanaan, the land of their pilgrimage wherein they were strangers. | And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, wherein they sojourned. | |
| Exodus 6:5 | I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, wherewith the Egyptians have oppressed them: and I have remembered my covenant. | And moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant. | |
| Exodus 6:6 | Therefore say to the children of Israel: I am the Lord who will bring you out from the work prison of the Egyptians, and will deliver you from bondage: and redeem you with a high arm, and great judgments. | Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am Jehovah, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments: | |
| Exodus 6:7 | And I will take you to myself for my people, I will be your God: and you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the work prison of the Egyptians. | and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah your God, who bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. | |
