| John 5:1 | After these things was a festival day of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. | After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. | After this there was a Festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. |

| John 5:19 | Then Jesus answered, and said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you, the Son cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doth, these the Son also doth in like manner. | Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner. | "In most solemn truth I tell you," replied Jesus, "that the Son can do nothing of Himself He can only do what He sees the Father doing; for whatever He does, that the Son does in like manner. |
