Genesis 4:1 | And Adam knew Eve his wife: who conceived and brought forth Cain, saying: I have gotten a man through God. | And the man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man with [the help of] Jehovah. | The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man with Yahweh's help." |

Genesis 4:7 | If thou do well, shalt thou not receive? but if ill, shall not sin forthwith be present at the door? but the lust thereof shall be under thee, and thou shalt have dominion over it. | If thou doest well, shall it not be lifted up? and if thou doest not well, sin coucheth at the door: and unto thee shall be its desire, but do thou rule over it. | If you do well, will it not be lifted up? If you don't do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it." |

Genesis 4:11 | Now, therefore, cursed shalt thou be upon the earth, which hath opened her mouth and received the blood of thy brother at thy hand, | And now cursed art thou from the ground, which hath opened its mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; | Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. |
Genesis 4:12 | When thou shalt till it, it shall not yield to thee its fruit: a fugitive and vagabond shalt thou be upon the earth. | when thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth. | From now on, when you till the ground, it won't yield its strength to you. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth." |
