Judges 13:9 | And the Lord heard the prayer of Manue, and the angel of the Lord appeared again to his wife as she was sitting in the field. But Manue her husband was not with her. And when she saw the angel, | And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her. | God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah, her husband, wasn't with her. |

Judges 13:12 | And Manue said to him: When thy word shall come to pass, what wilt thou that the child should do? or from what shall he keep himself? | And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass: what shall be the ordering of the child, and [how] shall we do unto him? | Manoah said, Now let your words happen: what shall be the ordering of the child, and [how] shall we do to him? |
Judges 13:13 | And the angel of the Lord said to Manue: From all the things I have spoken of to thy wife, let her refrain herself: | And the angel of Jehovah said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware. | The angel of Yahweh said to Manoah, Of all that I said to the woman let her beware. |
Judges 13:14 | And let her eat nothing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: and whatsoever I have commanded her, let her fulfil and observe. | She may not eat of anything that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; all that I commanded her let her observe. | She may not eat of anything that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; all that I commanded her let her observe. |
Judges 13:15 | And Manue said to the angel of the Lord: I beseech thee to consent to my request, and let us dress a kid for thee. | And Manoah said unto the angel of Jehovah, I pray thee, let us detain thee, that we may make ready a kid for thee. | Manoah said to the angel of Yahweh, I pray you, let us detain you, that we may make ready a kid for you. |
Judges 13:16 | And the angel answered him: If thou press me, I will not eat of thy bread: but if thou wilt offer a holocaust, offer it to the Lord. And Manue knew not it was the angel of the Lord. | And the angel of Jehovah said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread; and if thou wilt make ready a burnt-offering, thou must offer it unto Jehovah. For Manoah knew not that he was the angel of Jehovah. | The angel of Yahweh said to Manoah, Though you detain me, I won't eat of your bread; and if you will make ready a burnt offering, you must offer it to Yahweh. For Manoah didn't know that he was the angel of Yahweh. |
Judges 13:17 | And he said to him: What is thy name, that, if thy word shall come to pass, we may honour thee? | And Manoah said unto the angel of Jehovah, What is thy name, that, when thy words come to pass, we may do thee honor? | Manoah said to the angel of Yahweh, What is your name, that when your words happen, we may honor you? |
Judges 13:18 | And he answered him: Why askest thou my name, which is wonderful? | And the angel of Jehovah said unto him, Wherefore askest thou after my name, seeing it is wonderful? | The angel of Yahweh said to him, Why ask you after my name, seeing it is wonderful? |
Judges 13:19 | Then Manue took a kid of the flocks, and the libations, and put them upon a rock, offering to the Lord, who doth wonderful things: and he and his wife looked on. | So Manoah took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it upon the rock unto Jehovah: and [the angel] did wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on. | So Manoah took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it on the rock to Yahweh: and [the angel] did wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on. |
Judges 13:20 | And when the flame from the altar went up towards heaven, the angel of the lord ascended also in the flame. Judges 13:23 | And his wife answered him: If the Lord had a mind to kill us, he would not have received a holocaust and libations at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor have told us the things that are to come. | But his wife said unto him, If Jehovah were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt-offering and a meal-offering at our hand, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would at this time have told such things as these. | But his wife said to him, If Yahweh were pleased to kill us, he wouldn't have received a burnt offering and a meal-offering at our hand, neither would he have showed us all these things, nor would at this time have told such things as these. |
Judges 13:24 | And she bore a son, and called his name Samson.
