Luke 6:1And it came to pass on the second first sabbath, that as he went through the corn fields, his disciples plucked the ears, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.Now it came to pass on a sabbath, that he was going through the grainfields; and his disciples plucked the ears, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first, that he was going through the grain fields, and his disciples plucked the heads of grain, and ate, rubbing them in their hands.
Luke 6:2And some of the Pharisees said to them: Why do you that which is not lawful on the sabbath days?But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day? But some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day?"
Luke 6:3And Jesus answering them, said: Have you not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was hungry, and they that were with him:And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and they that were with him; Jesus, answering them, said, "Haven't you read this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him;
Luke 6:4How he went into the house of God, and took and ate the bread of proposition, and gave to them that were with him, which is not lawful to eat but only for the priests?how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests alone? how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?"
Luke 6:5And he said to them: The Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.And he said unto them, The Son of man is lord of the sabbath. He said to them, "The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."

And there was a man, whose right hand was withered.And it came to pass on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered. Luke 6:9Then Jesus said to them: I ask you, if it be lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil; to save life, or to destroy?And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it? Then Jesus said to them, "I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?"
Luke 6:10And looking round about on them all, he said to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored.And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did [so]: and his hand was restored. He looked around at them all, and said to him, "Stretch out your hand." He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.

Luke 6:22Blessed shall you be when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Luke 6:23Be glad in that day and rejoice; for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For according to these things did their fathers to the prophets.Rejoice in that day, and leap [for joy]: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets. Luke 6:24But woe to you that are rich: for you have your consolation.But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. "But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.
Luke 6:25Woe to you that are filled: for you shall hunger. Woe to you that now laugh: for you shall mourn and weep.Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe [unto you], ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. "Woe to you, you who are full now! For you will be hungry. "Woe to you, you who laugh now! For you will mourn and weep.
Luke 6:26Woe to you when men shall bless you: for according to these things did their fathers to the false prophets.Woe [unto you], when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets. "Woe, when men will speak well of you! For their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.
Luke 6:27But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you.But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, But I tell you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Luke 6:28Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that calumniate you.bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you. bless them who curse you, and pray for those who insult you.
Luke 6:29And to him that striketh thee on the one cheek, offer also the other. And him that taketh away from thee thy cloak, forbid not to take thy coat also.To him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also. To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don't withhold your coat also.
Luke 6:30Give to every one that asketh thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not again.Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. Give to everyone who asks you, and don't ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
Luke 6:31And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them in like manner.And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. "As you desire that men should do to you, likewise do to them also.
Luke 6:32And if you love them that love you, what thanks are to you? for sinners also love those that love them.And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
Luke 6:33And if you do good to them who do good to you, what thanks are to you? for sinners also do this.And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same. If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
Luke 6:34And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thanks are to you? for sinners also lend to sinners, for to receive as much.And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much. If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.
Luke 6:35But love ye your enemies: do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby: and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful, and to the evil.But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
Luke 6:36Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.
Luke 6:37Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released: Don't judge, and you will not be judged. Don't condemn, and you will not be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.
Luke 6:38Give, and it shall be given to you: good measure and pressed down and shaken together and running over shall they give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you shall mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again. Give, and it will be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they give into your bosom. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you."
Luke 6:39And he spoke also to them a similitude: Can the blind lead the blind? do they not both fall into the ditch?And he spake also a parable unto them, Can the blind guide the blind? shall they not both fall into a pit? He spoke a parable to them. "Can the blind guide the blind? Won't they both fall into a pit?
Luke 6:40The disciple is not above his master: but every one shall be perfect, if he be as his master.The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher. A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
Luke 6:41And why seest thou the mote in thy brother's eye: but the beam that is in thy own eye thou considerest not?And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?
Luke 6:42Or how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye, when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye? Hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from thy brother's eye.Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. Or how can you tell your brother, 'Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,' when you yourself don't see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye.
Luke 6:43For there is no good tree that bringeth forth evil fruit; nor an evil tree that bringeth forth good fruit.For there is no good tree that bringeth forth corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bringeth forth good fruit. For there is no good tree that brings forth rotten fruit; nor again a rotten tree that brings forth good fruit.
Luke 6:44For every tree is known by its fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns; nor from a bramble bush do they gather the grape.For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don't gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.
Luke 6:45A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil [man] out of the evil [treasure] bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
Luke 6:46And why call you me, Lord, Lord; and do not the things which I say?And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and don't do the things which I say?
Luke 6:47Every one that cometh to me, and heareth my words, and doth them, I will shew you to whom he is like.Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.
Luke 6:48He is like to a man building a house, who digged deep, and laid the foundation upon a rock. And when a flood came, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and it could not shake it; for it was founded on a rock.he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded. He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.
Luke 6:49But he that heareth, and doth not, is like to a man building his house upon the earth without a foundation: against which the stream beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great. But he who hears, and doesn't do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."
