Mark 1:2As it is written in Isaias the prophet: Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare the way before thee.Even as it is written in Isaiah the prophet, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way. As it is written in the prophets, "Behold, I send my messenger before your face, Who will prepare your way before you.
Mark 1:3A voice of one crying in the desert: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight; The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight.'"
Mark 1:4John was in the desert baptizing, and preaching the baptism of penance, unto remission of sins.John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins. Mark 1:16And passing by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, casting nets into the sea (for they were fishermen).And passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers. Mark 1:21And they entered into Capharnaum, and forthwith upon the sabbath days going into the synagogue, he taught them.And they go into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught. Mark 1:22And they were astonished at his doctrine. For he was teaching them as one having power, and not as the scribes.And they were astonished at his teaching: For he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes. Mark 1:24Saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God."
Mark 1:25And Jesus threatened him, saying: Speak no more, and go out of the man.And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!"

Mark 1:45But he being gone out, began to publish and to blaze abroad the word: so that he could not openly go into the city, but was without in desert places: and they flocked to him from all sides.But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to spread abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter. But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.
