Matthew 25:1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride.Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. "Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Matthew 25:2And five of them were foolish, and five wise.And five of them were foolish, and five were wise. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.
Matthew 25:3But the five foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them:For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them: Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,
Matthew 25:4But the wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps.but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Matthew 25:5And the bridegroom tarrying, they all slumbered and slept.Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
Matthew 25:6And at midnight there was a cry made: Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye forth to meet him.But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him. But at midnight there was a cry, 'Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!'
Matthew 25:7Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Matthew 25:8And the foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out.And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out. The foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
Matthew 25:9The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. But the wise answered, saying, 'What if there will not be enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
Matthew 25:10Now whilst they went to buy, the bridegroom came: and they that were ready, went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut. While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut.
Matthew 25:11But at last come also the other virgins, saying: Lord, Lord, open to us.Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us.'
Matthew 25:12But he answering said: Amen I say to you, I know you not.But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. But he answered, 'Most assuredly I tell you, I don't know you.'
Matthew 25:13Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour.Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour. Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Matthew 25:14For even as a man going into a far country, called his servants, and delivered to them his goods;For [it is] as [when] a man, going into another country, called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. "For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and delivered his goods to them.
Matthew 25:15And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to every one according to his proper ability: and immediately he took his journey.And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his several ability; and he went on his journey. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability, and he went on his journey.
Matthew 25:16And he that had received the five talents, went his way, and traded with the same, and gained other five.Straightway he that received the five talents went and traded with them, and made other five talents. Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.
Matthew 25:17And in like manner he that had received the two, gained other two.In like manner he also that [received] the two gained other two. In like manner he also who got the two gained another two.
Matthew 25:18But he that had received the one, going his way digged into the earth, and hid his lord's money.But he that received the one went away and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. But he who received the one went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Matthew 25:19But after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reckoned with them.Now after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and maketh a reckoning with them. Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.
Matthew 25:20And he that had received the five talents coming, brought other five talents, saying: Lord, thou didst deliver to me five talents, behold I have gained other five over and above.And he that received the five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: lo, I have gained other five talents. He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.'
Matthew 25:21His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant, because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
Matthew 25:22And he also that had received the two talents came and said: Lord, thou deliveredst two talents to me: behold I have gained other two.And he also that [received] the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents. He also who got the two talents came and said, 'Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents besides them.'
Matthew 25:23His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant: because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
Matthew 25:24But he that had received the one talent, came and said: Lord, I know that thou art a hard man; thou reapest where thou hast not sown, and gatherest where thou hast not strewed.And he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering where thou didst not scatter; He also who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
Matthew 25:25And being afraid I went and hid thy talent in the earth: behold here thou hast that which is thine.and I was afraid, and went away and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, thou hast thine own. I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have your own.'
Matthew 25:26And his lord answering, said to him: Wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sow not, and gather where I have not strewed:But his lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I did not scatter; But his lord answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn't sow, and gather where I didn't scatter.
Matthew 25:27Thou oughtest therefore to have committed my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received my own with usury.thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back mine own with interest. You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.
Matthew 25:28Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath ten talents.Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him that hath the ten talents. Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.
Matthew 25:29For to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: but from him that hath not, that also which he seemeth to have shall be taken away.For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away. For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken away.
Matthew 25:30And the unprofitable servant cast ye out into the exterior darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.'
Matthew 25:31And when the Son of man shall come in his majesty, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty.But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory: "But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then will he sit on the throne of his glory.
Matthew 25:32And all nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats:and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats; Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
Matthew 25:33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Matthew 25:34Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Then the King will tell them on his right hand, 'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
Matthew 25:35For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in:for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in;
Matthew 25:36Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me.naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me. naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.'
Matthew 25:37Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, and fed thee; thirsty, and gave thee drink?Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?
Matthew 25:38And when did we see thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and covered thee?And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you?
Matthew 25:39Or when did we see thee sick or in prison, and came to thee?And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?'
Matthew 25:40And the king answering, shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, [even] these least, ye did it unto me. The King will answer them, 'Most assuredly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
Matthew 25:41Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels.Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels: Then will he say also to them on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;
Matthew 25:42For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me not to drink.for I was hungry, and ye did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; for I was hungry, and you didn't give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;
Matthew 25:43I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you covered me not: sick and in prison, and you did not visit me.I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. I was a stranger, and you didn't take me in; naked, and you didn't clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn't visit me.'
Matthew 25:44Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to thee?Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then will they also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not help you?'
Matthew 25:45Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me.Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me. Then will he answer them, saying, 'Most assuredly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of these least, you didn't do it to me.'
Matthew 25:46And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting.And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life. These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
