| John 15:1 | If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love. | I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. | "I am the Vine the True Vine, and my Father is the vine-dresser. |
| John 15:11 | These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled. | He takes away every branch in me which has no fruit, and every branch which has fruit he makes clean, so that it may have more fruit. | Every branch in me if it bears no fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. |
