Philippians 4:1Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren, and most desired, my joy and my crown; so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. So my brothers, well loved and very dear to me, my joy and crown, be strong in the Lord, my loved ones. Therefore, my brethren, dearly loved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my dearly-loved ones.
Philippians 4:2I beg of Evodia, and I beseech Syntyche, to be of one mind in the Lord.I make request to Euodias and Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.I entreat Euodia, and I entreat Syntyche, to be of one mind, as sisters in Christ.
Philippians 4:3And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. And I make request to you, true helper in my work, to see to the needs of those women who took part with me in the good news, with Clement and the rest of my brother-workers whose names are in the book of life.Yes, and I beg you also, my faithful yoke-fellow, to help these women who have shared my toil in connection with the Good News, together with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are recorded in the Book of Life.
Philippians 4:4Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice.Be glad in the Lord at all times: again I say, Be glad.Always be glad in the Lord: I will repeat it, be glad.
Philippians 4:5Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh.Let your gentle behaviour be clear to all men. The Lord is near.Let your forbearing spirit be known to every one the Lord is near.
Philippians 4:6Be nothing solicitous; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God.Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God.Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God.
Philippians 4:7And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. And the peace of God, which is deeper than all knowledge, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. And then the peace of God, which transcends all our powers of thought, will be a garrison to guard your hearts and minds in union with Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things. For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever wins respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovable, whatever is of good repute if there is any virtue or anything deemed worthy of praise cherish the thought of these things.
Philippians 4:9The things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these do ye, and the God of peace shall be with you.The things which came to you by my teaching and preaching, and which you saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you.The doctrines and the line of conduct which I taught you both what you heard and what you saw in me hold fast to them; and God who gives peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:10Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied. But I am very glad in the Lord that your care for me has come to life again; though you did in fact take thought for me, but you were not able to give effect to it.But I rejoice with a deep and holy joy that now at length you have revived your thoughtfulness for my welfare. Indeed you have always been thoughtful for me, although opportunity failed you.
Philippians 4:11I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith. But I will not say anything about my needs, for I am able, wherever I am, to be dependent on myself.I do not refer to this through fear of privation, for (for my part) I have learned, whatever be my outward experiences, to be content.
Philippians 4:12I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: (everywhere, and in all things I am instructed) both to be full, and to be hungry; both to abound, and to suffer need.It is the same to me if I am looked down on or honoured; everywhere and in all things I have the secret of how to be full and how to go without food; how to have wealth and how to be in need.I know both how to live in humble circumstances and how to live amid abundance. I am fully initiated into all the mysteries both of fulness and of hunger, of abundance and of want.
Philippians 4:13I can do all these things in him who strengtheneth me.I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength.I have strength for anything through Him who gives me power.
Philippians 4:14Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation. But you did well to have care for me in my need.Yet I thank you for taking your share in my troubles.
Philippians 4:15And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only:And you have knowledge, Philippians, that when the good news first came to you, when I went away from Macedonia, no church took part with me in the business of giving to the saints, but you only;And you men and women of Philippi also know that at the first preaching of the Good News, when I had left Macedonia, no other Church except yourselves held communication with me about giving and receiving;
Philippians 4:16For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use.Because even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to me in my need.because even in Thessalonica you sent several times to minister to my needs.
Philippians 4:17Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account. Not that I am looking for an offering, but for fruit which may be put to your credit. Not that I crave for gifts from you, but I do want to see abundant fruit bring you honour.
Philippians 4:18But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.I have all things and more than enough: I am made full, having had from Epaphroditus the things which came from you, a perfume of a sweet smell, an offering well pleasing to God.I have enough of everything and more than enough. My wants are fully satisfied now that I have received from the hands of Epaphroditus the generous gifts which you sent me they are a fragrant odor, an acceptable sacrifice, truly pleasing to God.
Philippians 4:19And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And my God will give you all you have need of from the wealth of his glory in Christ Jesus. But my God so great is His wealth of glory in Christ Jesus will fully supply every need of yours.
Philippians 4:20Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen. Now to God our Father be glory for ever and ever. So be it.And to our God and Father be the glory throughout the Ages of the Ages! Amen.
Philippians 4:21Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus.Give words of love to every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their love.My Christian greetings to every one of God's people. The brethren who are with me send their greetings.
Philippians 4:22The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household. All the saints send their love to you, specially those who are of Caesar's house. All God's people here greet you especially the members of Caesar's household.
Philippians 4:23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits.
