Genesis 2:3And he blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. And God gave his blessing to the seventh day and made it holy: because on that day he took his rest from all the work which he had made and done.God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work which he had created and made.
Genesis 2:4These are the generations of the heaven and the earth, when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the heaven and the earth:These are the generations of the heaven and the earth when they were made. This is the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh God made earth and the heavens.
Genesis 2:5And every plant of the field before it spring up in the earth, and every herb of the ground before it grew: for the Lord God had not rained upon the earth; and there was not a man to till the earth. In the day when the Lord God made earth and heaven there were no plants of the field on the earth, and no grass had come up: for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to do work on the land.No plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up; for Yahweh God had not caused it to rain on the earth. There was not a man to till the ground,
Genesis 2:6But a spring rose out the earth, watering all the surface of the earth. But a mist went up from the earth, watering all the face of the land.but a mist went up from the earth, and watered the whole surface of the ground.
Genesis 2:7And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul. And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:8And the Lord God had planted a paradise of pleasure from the beginning: wherein he placed man whom he had formed. And the Lord God made a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had made.Yahweh God planted a garden eastward, in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Genesis 2:9And the Lord God brought forth of the ground all manner of trees, fair to behold, and pleasant to eat of: the tree of life also in the midst of paradise: and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And out of the earth the Lord made every tree to come, delighting the eye and good for food; and in the middle of the garden, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.Out of the ground Yahweh God made every tree to grow that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:10And a river went out the place of pleasure to water paradise, which from thence is divided into four heads. And a river went out of Eden giving water to the garden; and from there it was parted and became four streams.A river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it was parted, and became four heads.
Genesis 2:11The name of the one is Phison: that is it which compasseth all the land of Hevilath, where gold groweth.The name of the first is Pishon, which goes round about all the land of Havilah where there is gold.The name of the first is Pishon: this is the one which flows through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;
Genesis 2:12And the gold of that land is very good: there is found bdellium, and the onyx stone. And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.and the gold of that land is good. There is aromatic resin and the onyx stone.
Genesis 2:13And the name of the second river is Gehon: the same is it that compasseth all the land of EthiopiaAnd the name of the second river is Gihon: this river goes round all the land of Cush. The name of the second river is Gihon: the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush.
Genesis 2:14And the name of the third river is Tigris: the same passeth along by the Assyrians. And the fourth river is Euphrates. And the name of the third river is Tigris, which goes to the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. The name of the third river is Hiddekel: this is the one which flows in front of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
Genesis 2:15And the Lord God took man, and put him into the paradise for pleasure, to dress it, and keep it.And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to do work in it and take care of it.Yahweh God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Genesis 2:16And he commanded him, saying: Of every tree of paradise thou shalt eat:And the Lord God gave the man orders, saying, You may freely take of the fruit of every tree of the garden:Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat:
Genesis 2:17But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat. for in what day soever thou shalt eat of it, thou shalt die the death. But of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you may not take; for on the day when you take of it, death will certainly come to you.but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die."
Genesis 2:18And the Lord God said: It is not good for man to be alone: let us make him a help like unto himself. And the Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be by himself: I will make one like himself as a help to himYahweh God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."
Genesis 2:19And the Lord God having formed out of the ground all the beasts of the earth, and all the fowls of the air, brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: for whatsoever Adam called any living creature the same is its name. And from the earth the Lord God made every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and took them to the man to see what names he would give them: and whatever name he gave to any living thing, that was its name.Out of the ground Yahweh God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name.
Genesis 2:20And Adam called all the beasts by their names, and all the fowls of the air, and all the cattle of the field: but for Adam there was not found a helper like himself. And the man gave names to all cattle and to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field; but Adam had no one like himself as a help. The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field; but for man there was not found a helper suitable for him.

She will be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
Genesis 2:24Wherefore a man shall leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be two in one flesh. For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh. Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
Genesis 2:25And they were both naked: to wit, Adam and his wife: and were not ashamed. And the man and his wife were without clothing, and they had no sense of shame. They were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
