1st-Kings 4:1And king Solomon reigned over all Israel:Now Solomon was king over all Israel.And king Solomon is king over all Israel,
1st-Kings 4:2And these were the princes which he had: Azarias the son of Sadoc the priest:And these were his chief men: Azariah, the son of Zadok, was the priest;and these [are] the heads whom he hath: Azariah son of Zadok [is] the priest;
1st-Kings 4:3Elihoreph, and Ahia, the sons of Sisa, scribes: Josaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder:Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were scribes; Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, was the recorder;Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha [are] scribes; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer;
1st-Kings 4:4Banaias the son of Joiada, over the army: and Sadoc and Abiathar priests.Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, was head of the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar [are] priests;
1st-Kings 4:5Azarias the son of Nathan, over them that were about the king: Zabud, the son of Nathan the priest, the king's friend:Azariah, the son of Nathan, was over those in authority in the different divisions of the country; Zabud, the son of Nathan, was priest and the king's friend;and Azariah son of Nathan [is] over the officers; and Zabud son of Nathan [is] minister, friend of the king;
1st-Kings 4:6And Ahisar governor of the house: and Adoniram the son of Abda over the tribute.Ahishar was controller of the king's house; Adoniram, the son of Abda, was overseer of the forced work.And Ahishar [is] over the household, and Adoniram son of Abda [is] over the tribute.
1st-Kings 4:7And Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel, who provided victuals for the king and for his household: for every one provided necessaries, each man his month in the year.And Solomon put twelve overseers over all Israel, to be responsible for the stores needed for the king and those of his house; every man was responsible for one month in the year.And Solomon hath twelve officers over all Israel, and they have sustained the king and his household a month in the year is on each one for sustenance;
1st-Kings 4:8And these are their names: Benhur, in mount Ephraim,And these are their names: ... the son of Hur in the hill country of Ephraim;and these [are] their names: Ben-Hur in the hill-country of Ephraim;
1st-Kings 4:9Bendecar, in Macces, and in Salebim, and in Bethsames, and in Elon, and in Bethanan.... the son of Deker in Makaz and Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh and Elonbeth-hanan;Ben-Dekar in Makaz, and Shaalbim, and Beth-Shemesh, and Elon-Beth-Hanan.
1st-Kings 4:10Benhesed in Aruboth: his was Socho, and all the land of Epher.... the son of Hesed in Arubboth; Socoh and all the land of Hepher were under his control;Ben-Hesed [is] in Aruboth, hath Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;
1st-Kings 4:1111Benabinadab, to whom belonged all Nephath-Dor, he had Tapheth the daughter of Solomon to wife.... the son of Abinadab in all Naphath-dor; his wife was Taphath, the daughter of Solomon.Ben-Abinadab [hath] all the elevation of Dor, Taphath daughter of Solomon became his wife.
1st-Kings 4:12Bana the son of Ahilud, who governed Thanac and Mageddo, and all Bethsan, which is by Sarthana beneath Jezrael, from Bethsan unto Abelmehula over against Jecmaan.Baana, the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is by the side of Zarethan, under Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, as far as the far side of Jokmeam;Baana Ben-Ahilud [hath] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-Shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-Shean unto Abel-Meholah, unto beyond Jokneam.
1st-Kings 4:13Bengaber in Ramoth Galaad: he had the towns of Jair the son of Manasses in Galaad, he was chief in all the country of Argob, which is in Basan, threescore great cities with walls, and brazen bolts.... the son of Geber in Ramoth-gilead; he had the towns of Jair, the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead, and the country of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great towns with walls and locks of brass.Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead, hath the small towns of Jair son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; he hath a portion of Argob that [is] in Bashan, sixty great cities [with] wall and brazen bar.
1st-Kings 4:14Abinadab the son of Addo was chief in Manaim.Ahinadab, the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;Ahinadab son of Iddo [hath] Mahanaim.
1st-Kings 4:15Achimaas in Nephtali: he also had Basemath the daughter of Solomon to wife.Ahimaaz in Naphtali; he took Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, as his wife;Ahimaaz [is] in Naphtali; he also hath taken Basemath daughter of Solomon for a wife.
1st-Kings 4:16Baana the son of Husi, in Aser and in Baloth.Baana, the son of Hushai, in Asher and Aloth;Baanah Ben-Hushai [is] in Asher, and in Aloth.
1st-Kings 4:17Josaphat the son of Pharue, in Issachar.Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;Jehoshaphat Ben-Paruah [is] in Issachar.
1st-Kings 4:18Semei the son of Ela in Benjamin.Shimei, the son of Ela, in Benjamin;Shimei Ben-Elah [is] in Benjamin.
1st-Kings 4:19Gaber the son of Uri, in the land of Galaad, in the land of Sehon the king of the Amorrhites and of Og the king of Basan, over all that were in that land.Geber, the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan; and one overseer had authority over all the overseers who were in the land.Geber Ben-Uri [is] in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, and of Og king of Bashan: and one officer who [is] in the land.
1st-Kings 4:20Juda and Israel were innumerable, as the sand of the sea in multitude: eating and drinking, and rejoicing.Judah and Israel were as great in number as the sand by the seaside, and they took their food and drink with joy in their hearts.Judah and Israel [are] many, as the sand that [is] by the sea for multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.
1st-Kings 4:21And Solomon had under him all the kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines,. even to the border of Egypt: and they brought him presents, and served him, all the days of his life.And Solomon was ruler over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the edge of Egypt; men gave him offerings and were his servants all the days of his life.And Solomon hath been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River [to] the land of the Philistines and unto the border of Egypt: they are bringing nigh a present, and serving Solomon, all days of his life.
1st-Kings 4:22And the provision of Solomon for each day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,And the amount of Solomon's food for one day was thirty measures of crushed grain and sixty measures of meal;And the provision of Solomon for one day is thirty cors of flour, and sixty cors of meal;
1st-Kings 4:23Ten fat oxen and twenty out of the pastures, and a hundred rams, besides venison of harts, roes, and buffles, and fatted fowls.Ten fat oxen and twenty oxen from the fields, and a hundred sheep, in addition to harts and gazelles and roes and fat fowls.ten fat oxen, and twenty feeding oxen, and a hundred sheep, apart from hart, and roe, and fallow-deer, and fatted beasts of the stalls,
1st-Kings 4:24For he had all the country which was beyond the river, from Thaphsa to Gazan, and all the kings of those countries: and he had peace on every side round about.For he had authority over all the country on this side of the River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace round him on every side.for he is ruling over all beyond the river, from Tiphsah and unto Gaza, over all the kings beyond the river, and he hath peace from all his servants round about.
1st-Kings 4:25And Juda and Israel dwelt without any fear, every one under his vine, and under his fig tree, from Dan to Bersabee, all the days of Solomon.So Judah and Israel were living safely, every man under his vine and his fig-tree, from Dan as far as Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.And Judah dwelleth and Israel in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.
1st-Kings 4:26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of chariot horses, and twelve thou- sand for the saddle.And Solomon had four thousand boxed-off spaces for horses for his carriages, and twelve thousand horsemen.And Solomon hath forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
1st-Kings 4:27And the foresaid governors of the king fed them: and they furnished the necessaries also for king Solomon's table, with great care in their time.And those overseers, every man in his month, saw that food was produced for Solomon and all his guests, they took care that nothing was overlooked.And these officers have sustained king Solomon and every one drawing near unto the table of king Solomon, each [in] his month; they let nothing be lacking.
1st-Kings 4:28They brought barley also and straw for the horses, and beasts, to the place where the king was, according as it was appointed them.And they took grain and dry grass for the horses and the carriage-horses, to the right place, every man as he was ordered.And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring in unto the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.
1st-Kings 4:29And God gave to Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart as the sand that is on the sea shore.And God gave Solomon a great store of wisdom and good sense, and a mind of wide range, as wide as the sand by the seaside.And God giveth wisdom to Solomon, and understanding, very much, and breadth of heart, as the sand that [is] on the edge of the sea;
1st-Kings 4:30And the wisdom of Solomon surpassed the wisdom of all the Orientals, and of the Egyptians,And Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;
1st-Kings 4:31And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Dorda the sons of Mahol, and he was renowned in all nations round about.For he was wiser than all men, even than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman and Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and he had a great name among all the nations round about.and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.
1st-Kings 4:32Solomon also spoke three thousand parables: and his poems were a thousand and five.He was the maker of three thousand wise sayings, and of songs to the number of a thousand and five.And he speaketh three thousand similes, and his songs [are] five, and the chief one;
1st-Kings 4:33And he treated about trees from the cedar that is in Libanus, unto the hyssop that cometh out of the wall: and he discoursed of beasts, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.He made sayings about all plants, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop hanging on the wall; and about all beasts and birds and fishes and the small things of the earth.and he speaketh concerning the trees, from the cedar that [is] in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop that is coming out in the wall, and he speaketh concerning the cattle, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes,
1st-Kings 4:34And they came from all nations to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who heard of his wisdom.People came from every nation to give ear to the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had word of his wisdom.and there come out of all the peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who have heard of his wisdom.
