Leviticus 9:1 | And when the eighth day was come, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the ancients of Israel, and said to Aaron: | And it came to pass on the eighth day, [that] Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel, | And on the eighth day Moses sent for Aaron and his sons and the responsible men of Israel; |
Leviticus 9:2 | Take of the herd a calf for sin, and a ram for a holocaust, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord. | and said to Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and present [them] before Jehovah; | And he said to Aaron, Take a young ox for a sin-offering and a male sheep for a burned offering, without a mark, and make an offering of them before the Lord. |
Leviticus 9:3 | And to the children of Israel thou shalt say: Take ye a he goat for sin, and a calf, and a lamb, both of a year old, and without blemish for a holocaust, | and to the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, Take a buck of the goats for a sin-offering, and a calf and a lamb, yearlings, without blemish, for a burnt-offering; | And say to the children of Israel: Take a he-goat for a sin-offering, and a young ox and a lamb, in their first year, without any mark on them, for a burned offering; |
Leviticus 9:4 | Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings: and immolate them before the Lord, offering for the sacrifice of every one of them flour tempered with oil; for to day the Lord will appear to you. | and a bullock and a ram for a peace-offering, to sacrifice before Jehovah; and an oblation mingled with oil; for to-day Jehovah will appear to you. | And an ox and a male sheep for peace-offerings, to be put to death before the Lord; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for this day you are to see the Lord. |
Leviticus 9:5 | They brought therefore all things that Moses had commanded before the door of the tabernacle: where when all the multitude stood, | And they brought what Moses commanded before the tent of meeting; and all the assembly approached and stood before Jehovah. | And they took the things ordered by Moses, before the Tent of meeting, and all the people came near, waiting before the Lord. |
Leviticus 9:6 | Moses said: This is the word, which the Lord hath commanded: do it, and his glory will appear to you. | And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded that ye should do; and the glory of Jehovah shall appear to you. | And Moses said, This is what the Lord has said you are to do; and you will see the glory of the Lord. |
Leviticus 9:7 | And he said to Aaron: Approach to the altar, and offer sacrifice for thy sin: offer the holocaust, and pray for thyself and for the people: and when thou hast slain the people's victim, pray for them, as the Lord hath commanded. | And Moses said unto Aaron, Go to the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as Jehovah has commanded. | And Moses said to Aaron, Come near to the altar and make your sin-offering and your burned offering to take away your sin and the sin of the people, and make the people's offering to take away their sin; as the Lord has given orders. |
Leviticus 9:8 | And forthwith Aaron, approaching to the altar, immolated the calf for his sin: | And Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf of the sin-offering which was for himself; | So Aaron came near to the altar and put to death the ox for the sin-offering for himself; |
Leviticus 9:9 | And his sons brought him the blood of it: and he dipped his finger therein, and touched the horns of the altar, and poured the rest at the foot thereof. | and the sons of Aaron presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put [it] on the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar. | And the sons of Aaron gave him the blood and he put his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar, draining out the blood at the base of the altar; |
Leviticus 9:10 | And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the caul of the liver, which are for sin, he burnt upon the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses: | And the fat, and the kidneys, and the net above the liver, of the sin-offering, he burned on the altar, as Jehovah had commanded Moses. | But the fat and the kidneys and the fat on the liver of the sin-offering were burned by him on the altar as the Lord gave orders to Moses. |
Leviticus 9:11 | But the flesh and skins thereof he burnt with fire without the camp. | And the flesh and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp. | And the flesh and the skin were burned with fire outside the tent-circle; |
Leviticus 9:12 | He immolated also the victim of holocaust: and his sons brought him the blood thereof, which he poured round about on the altar. | And he slaughtered the burnt-offering; and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, which he sprinkled on the altar round about. | And he put to death the burned offering; and Aaron's sons gave him the blood and he put some of it on and round the altar; |
Leviticus 9:13 | And the victim being cut into pieces, they brought to him the head and all the members, all which he burnt with fire upon the altar, | And they delivered the burnt-offering to him, in the pieces thereof, and the head; and he burned [them] on the altar. | And they gave him the parts of the burned offering, in their order, and the head, to be burned on the altar. |
Leviticus 9:14 | Having first washed the entrails and the feet with water. | And he washed the inwards and the legs, and burned [them] upon the burnt-offering, on the altar. | And the inside parts and the legs, when they had been washed with water, were burned on the burned offering on the altar. |
Leviticus 9:15 | Then offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he goat: and expiating the altar, | And he presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people and slaughtered it, and offered it for sin, as the first. | And he made an offering for the people and took the goat of the sin-offering for the people and put it to death, offering it for sin, in the same way as the first. |
Leviticus 9:16 | He offered the holocaust: | And he presented the burnt-offering and offered it according to the ordinance. | And he took the burned offering, offering it in the ordered way; |
Leviticus 9:17 | Adding in the sacrifice the libations, which are offered withal, and burning them upon the altar, besides the ceremonies of the morning holocaust. | And he presented the oblation, and took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar, besides the burnt-offering of the morning. | And he put the meal offering before the Lord, and taking some of it in his hand he had it burned on the altar, separately from the burned offering of the morning. |
Leviticus 9:18 | He immolated also the bullock and the ram, the peace offerings of the people: and his sons brought him the blood, which he poured upon the altar round about. | And he slaughtered the bullock and the ram of the sacrifice of peace-offering which was for the people. And Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, and he sprinkled it on the altar round about; | And he put to death the ox and the sheep, which were the peace-offerings for the people; and Aaron's sons gave him the blood and he put some of it on and round the altar; |
Leviticus 9:19 | The fat also of the bullock, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys, with their fat, and the caul of the liver, | and the pieces of fat of the bullock and of the ram, the fat tail and what covers [the inwards], and the kidneys, and the net of the liver; | And as for the fat of the ox and the fat tail of the sheep and the fat covering the inside parts and the kidneys and the fat on the liver; |
Leviticus 9:20 | They put upon the breasts. And after the fat was burnt upon the altar, | and they put the pieces of fat on the breast-pieces, and he burned the pieces of fat on the altar; | They put the fat on the breasts, and the fat was burned on the altar. |
Leviticus 9:21 | Aaron separated their breasts, and the right shoulders, elevating them before the Lord, as Moses had commanded. | and the breast-pieces and the right shoulder Aaron waved as a wave-offering before Jehovah, as Moses had commanded. | And Aaron took the breasts and the right leg, waving them for a wave offering before the Lord, as Moses gave orders. |
Leviticus 9:22 | And stretching forth his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being finished, he came down. | And Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and came down after the offering of the sin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and the peace-offering. | And Aaron, lifting up his hands to the people, gave them a blessing; and he came down from offering the sin-offering, and the burned offering, and the peace-offerings. |
Leviticus 9:23 | And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came forth and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to all the multitude: | And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and came out and blessed the people; and the glory of Jehovah appeared to all the people. | And Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of meeting, and came out and gave the people a blessing, and the glory of the Lord was seen by all the people. |
Leviticus 9:24 | And behold a fire, coming forth from the Lord, devoured the holocaust, and the fat that was upon the altar: which when the multitude saw, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces. | And there went out fire from before Jehovah, and consumed on the altar the burnt-offering, and the pieces of fat; and all the people saw it, and they shouted, and fell on their face. | And fire came out from before the Lord, burning up the offering on the altar and the fat: and when all the people saw it, they gave a loud cry, falling down on their faces. |
