Romans 12:1I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing unto God, your reasonable service.I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your intelligent service.For this reason I make request to you, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you will give your bodies as a living offering, holy, pleasing to God, which is the worship it is right for you to give him.
Romans 12:2And be not conformed to this world; but be reformed in the newness of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect will of God.And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [your] mind, that ye may prove what [is] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.And let not your behaviour be like that of this world, but be changed and made new in mind, so that by experience you may have knowledge of the good and pleasing and complete purpose of God.
Romans 12:3For I say, by the grace that is given me, to all that are among you, not to be more wise than it behoveth to be wise, but to be wise unto sobriety, and according as God hath divided to every one the measure of faith.For I say, through the grace which has been given to me, to every one that is among you, not to have high thoughts above what he should think; but to think so as to be wise, as God has dealt to each a measure of faith.But I say to every one of you, through the grace given to me, not to have an over-high opinion of himself, but to have wise thoughts, as God has given to every one a measure of faith.
Romans 12:4For as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office:For, as in one body we have many members, but all the members have not the same office;For, as we have a number of parts in one body, but all the parts have not the same use,
Romans 12:5So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.thus we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and each one members one of the other.So we, though we are a number of persons, are one body in Christ, and are dependent on one another;
Romans 12:6And having different gifts, according to the grace that is given us, either prophecy, to be used according to the rule of faith;But having different gifts, according to the grace which has been given to us, whether [it be] prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;And having different qualities by reason of the grace given to us, such as the quality of a prophet, let it be made use of in relation to the measure of our faith;
Romans 12:7Or ministry, in ministering; or he that teacheth, in doctrine;or service, [let us occupy ourselves] in service; or he that teaches, in teaching;Or the position of a Deacon of the church, let a man give himself to it; or he who has the power of teaching, let him make use of it;
Romans 12:8He that exhorteth, in exhorting; he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with carefulness; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.or he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, in simplicity; he that leads, with diligence; he that shews mercy, with cheerfulness.He who has the power of comforting, let him do so; he who gives, let him give freely; he who has the power of ruling, let him do it with a serious mind; he who has mercy on others, let it be with joy.
Romans 12:9Let love be without dissimulation. Hating that which is evil, cleaving to that which is good.Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good:Let love be without deceit. Be haters of what is evil; keep your minds fixed on what is good.
Romans 12:10Loving one another with the charity of brotherhood, with honour preventing one another.as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:Be kind to one another with a brother's love, putting others before yourselves in honour;
Romans 12:11In carefulness not slothful. In spirit fervent. Serving the Lord.as to diligent zealousness, not slothful; in spirit fervent; serving the Lord.Be not slow in your work, but be quick in spirit, as the Lord's servants;
Romans 12:12Rejoicing in hope. Patient in tribulation. Instant in prayer.As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:Being glad in hope, quiet in trouble, at all times given to prayer,
Romans 12:13Communicating to the necessities of the saints. Pursuing hospitality.distributing to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.Giving to the needs of the saints, ready to take people into your houses.
Romans 12:14Bless them that persecute you: bless, and curse not.Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.Give blessing and not curses to those who are cruel to you.
Romans 12:15Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.Rejoice with those that rejoice, weep with those that weep.Take part in the joy of those who are glad, and in the grief of those who are sorrowing.
Romans 12:16Being of one mind one towards another. Not minding high things, but consenting to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits.Have the same respect one for another, not minding high things, but going along with the lowly: be not wise in your own eyes:Be in harmony with one another. Do not have a high opinion of yourselves, but be in agreement with common people. Do not give yourselves an air of wisdom.
Romans 12:17To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of all men.recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men:Do not give evil for evil to any man. Let all your business be well ordered in the eyes of all men.
Romans 12:18If it be possible, as much as is in you, have peace with all men.if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;As far as it is possible for you be at peace with all men.
Romans 12:19Revenge not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance [belongs] to me, *I* will recompense, saith the Lord.Do not give punishment for wrongs done to you, dear brothers, but give way to the wrath of God; for it is said in the holy Writings, Punishment is mine, I will give reward, says the Lord.
Romans 12:20But if thy enemy be hungry, give him to eat; if he thirst, give him to drink. For, doing this, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.But if one who has hate for you is in need of food or of drink, give it to him, for in so doing you will put coals of fire on his head.
Romans 12:21Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil by good.Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Do not let evil overcome you, but overcome evil by good.
