Philippians 4:1 | Therefore, my dearly beloved brethren, and most desired, my joy and my crown; so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. | So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in [the] Lord, beloved. | Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. |
Philippians 4:2 | I beg of Evodia, and I beseech Syntyche, to be of one mind in the Lord. | I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in [the] Lord; | I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. |
Philippians 4:3 | And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. | yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life. | And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. |
Philippians 4:4 | Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say, rejoice. | Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. | Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. |
Philippians 4:5 | Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh. | Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord [is] near. | Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. |
Philippians 4:6 | Be nothing solicitous; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. | Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; | Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. |
Philippians 4:7 | And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. | and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. | And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:8 | For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things. | For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things. | Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. |
Philippians 4:9 | The things which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these do ye, and the God of peace shall be with you. | What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you. | Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. |
Philippians 4:10 | Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied. | But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity. | But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. |
Philippians 4:11 | I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith. | Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me *I* have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself. | Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. |
Philippians 4:12 | I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: (everywhere, and in all things I am instructed) both to be full, and to be hungry; both to abound, and to suffer need. | I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation. | I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. |
Philippians 4:13 | I can do all these things in him who strengtheneth me. | I have strength for all things in him that gives me power. | I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
Philippians 4:14 | Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation. | But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction. | Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. |
Philippians 4:15 | And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only: | And know also *ye*, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save *ye* alone; | Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. |
Philippians 4:16 | For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use. | for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need. | For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. |
Philippians 4:17 | Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account. | Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account. | Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. |
Philippians 4:18 | But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. | But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God. | But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. |
Philippians 4:19 | And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. | But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. | But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. |
Philippians 4:20 | Now to God and our Father be glory world without end. Amen. | But to our God and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen. | Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
Philippians 4:21 | Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus. | Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you. | Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. |
Philippians 4:22 | The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household. | All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar. | All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household. |
Philippians 4:23 | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. |
