| Galatians 5:1 | Stand fast, and be not held again under the yoke of bondage. | Christ has set us free in freedom; stand fast therefore, and be not held again in a yoke of bondage. | Christ having made us gloriously free stand fast and do not again be hampered with the yoke of slavery. |
| Galatians 5:2 | Behold, I Paul tell you, that if you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. | Behold, I, Paul, say to you, that if ye are circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. | Remember that it is I Paul who tell you that if you receive circumcision Christ will avail you nothing. |
| Galatians 5:3 | And I testify again to every man circumcising himself, that he is a debtor to the whole law. | And I witness again to every man [who is] circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law. | I once more protest to every man who receives circumcision that he is under obligation to obey the whole Law of Moses. |

| Galatians 5:7 | You did run well, who hath hindered you, that you should not obey the truth? | Ye ran well; who has stopped you that ye should not obey the truth? | You were running the race nobly! Who has interfered and caused you to swerve from the truth? |

| Galatians 5:10 | I have confidence in you in the Lord: that you will not be of another mind: but he that troubleth you, shall bear the judgment, whosoever he be. | *I* have confidence as to you in [the] Lord, that ye will have no other mind; and he that is troubling you shall bear the guilt [of it], whosoever he may be. | For my part I have strong confidence in you in the Lord that you will adopt my view of the matter. But the man be he who he may who is troubling you, will have to bear the full weight of the judgement to be pronounced on him. |
| Galatians 5:11 | And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? Then is the scandal of the cross made void. | But *I*, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why am I yet persecuted? Then the scandal of the cross has been done away. | As for me, brethren, if I am still a preacher of circumcision, how is it that I am still suffering persecution? In that case the Cross has ceased to be a stumbling-block! |
| Galatians 5:12 | I would they were even cut off, who trouble you. | I would that they would even cut themselves off who throw you into confusion. | Would to God that those who are unsettling your faith would even mutilate themselves. |
