| Genesis 15:1 | Now when these things were done, the word of the Lord came to Abram by a vision, saying: Fear not, Abram, I am thy protector, and thy reward exceeding great. | After these things the word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram; I am thy shield, thy exceeding great reward. | After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Don't be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." |
| Genesis 15:2 | And Abram said: Lord God, what wilt thou give me? I shall go without children: and the son of the steward of my house is this Damascus Eliezer. | And Abram said, Lord Jehovah, what wilt thou give me? seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus. | Abram said, "Lord Yahweh, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?" |
| Genesis 15:3 | And Abram added: But to me thou hast not given seed: and lo my servant, born in my house, shall be my heir. | And Abram said, Lo, to me thou hast given no seed, and behold, a son of my house will be mine heir. | Abram said, "Behold, to me you have given no seed: and, behold, one born in my house is my heir." |
