Acts 8:1 | And at that time there was raised a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all dispersed through the countries of Judea, and Samaria, except the apostles. | And Saul was consenting to his being killed. And on that day there arose a great persecution against the assembly which was in Jerusalem, and all were scattered into the countries of Judaea and Samaria except the apostles. | And Saul was assenting to his death, and there came in that day a great persecution upon the assembly in Jerusalem, all also were scattered abroad in the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles; |

And he said: Thinkest thou that thou understandest what thou readest? | And Philip, running up, heard him reading the prophet Esaias, and said, Dost thou then know what thou art reading of? | and Philip having run near, heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, `Dost thou then know what thou dost read?` |
Acts 8:31 | Who said: And how can I, unless some man shew me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. | And he said, How should I then be able unless some one guide me? And he begged Philip to come up and sit with him. | and he said, `Why, how am I able, if some one may not guide me?` he called Philip also, having come up, to sit with him. |

Acts 8:33 | In humility his judgment was taken away.
