Galatians 4:1Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;Now I say, As long as the heir is a child, he differs nothing from a bondman, though he be lord of all;And I say, so long time as the heir is a babe, he differeth nothing from a servant being lord of all,
Galatians 4:2But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed by the father:but he is under guardians and stewards until the period fixed by the father.but is under tutors and stewards till the time appointed of the father,
Galatians 4:3So we also, when we were children, were serving under the elements of the world.So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the principles of the world;so also we, when we were babes, under the elements of the world were in servitude,
Galatians 4:4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, come of woman, come under law,and when the fulness of time did come, God sent forth His Son, come of a woman, come under law,
Galatians 4:5That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons.that he might redeem those under law, that we might receive sonship.that those under law he may redeem, that the adoption of sons we may receive;
Galatians 4:6And because you are sons, God hath sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying: Abba, Father.But because ye are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.and because ye are sons, God did send forth the spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, `Abba, Father!`
Galatians 4:7Therefore now he is not a servant, but a son. And if a son, an heir also through God.So thou art no longer bondman, but son; but if son, heir also through God.so that thou art no more a servant, but a son, and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4:8But then indeed, not knowing God, you served them, who, by nature, are not gods.But then indeed, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods;But then, indeed, not having known God, ye were in servitude to those not by nature gods,
Galatians 4:9But now, after that you have known God, or rather are known by God: how turn you again to the weak and needy elements, which you desire to serve again?but now, knowing God, but rather being known by God, how do ye turn again to the weak and beggarly principles to which ye desire to be again anew in bondage?and now, having known God and rather being known by God how turn ye again unto the weak and poor elements to which anew ye desire to be in servitude?
Galatians 4:10You observe days, and months, and times, and years.Ye observe days and months and times and years.days ye observe, and months, and times, and years!
Galatians 4:11I am afraid of you, lest perhaps I have laboured in vain among you.I am afraid of you, lest indeed I have laboured in vain as to you.I am afraid of you, lest in vain I did labour toward you.
Galatians 4:12Be ye as I, because I also am as you: brethren, I beseech you: you have not injured me at all.Be as *I* [am], for *I* also [am] as *ye*, brethren, I beseech you: ye have not at all wronged me.Become as I [am] because I also [am] as ye brethren, I beseech you; to me ye did no hurt,
Galatians 4:13And you know, how through infirmity of the flesh, I preached the gospel to you heretofore: and your temptation in my flesh,But ye know that in weakness of the flesh I announced the glad tidings to you at the first;and ye have known that through infirmity of the flesh I did proclaim good news to you at the first,
Galatians 4:14You despised not, nor rejected: but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.and my temptation, which [was] in my flesh, ye did not slight nor reject with contempt; but ye received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus.and my trial that [is] in my flesh ye did not despise nor reject, but as a messenger of God ye did receive me as Christ Jesus;
Galatians 4:15Where is then your blessedness? For I bear you witness, that, if it could be done, you would have plucked out your own eyes, and would have given them to me.What then [was] your blessedness? for I bear you witness that, if possible, plucking out your own eyes ye would have given [them] to me.what then was your happiness? for I testify to you, that if possible, your eyes having plucked out, ye would have given to me;
Galatians 4:16Am I then become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?So I have become your enemy in speaking the truth to you?so that your enemy have I become, being true to you?
Galatians 4:17They are zealous in your regard not well: but they would exclude you, that you might be zealous for them.They are not rightly zealous after you, but desire to shut you out [from us], that ye may be zealous after them.they are zealous for you [yet] not well, but they wish to shut us out, that for them ye may be zealous;
Galatians 4:18But be zealous for that which is good in a good thing always: and not only when I am present with you.But [it is] right to be zealous at all times in what is right, and not only when I am present with youand [it is] good to be zealously regarded, in what is good, at all times, and not only in my being present with you;
Galatians 4:19My little children, of whom I am in labour again, until Christ be formed in you.my children, of whom I again travail in birth until Christ shall have been formed in you:my little children, of whom again I travail in birth, till Christ may be formed in you,
Galatians 4:20And I would willingly be present with you now, and change my voice: because I am ashamed for you.and I should wish to be present with you now, and change my voice, for I am perplexed as to you.and I was wishing to be present with you now, and to change my voice, because I am in doubt about you.
Galatians 4:21Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, have you not read the law?Tell me, ye who are desirous of being under law, do ye not listen to the law?Tell me, ye who are willing to be under law, the law do ye not hear?
Galatians 4:22For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, and the other by a free woman.For it is written that Abraham had two sons; one of the maid servant, and one of the free woman.for it hath been written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the maid-servant, and one by the free-woman,
Galatians 4:23But he who was of the bondwoman, was born according to the flesh: but he of the free woman, was by promise.But he [that was] of the maid servant was born according to flesh, and he [that was] of the free woman through the promise.but he who [is] of the maid-servant, according to flesh hath been, and he who [is] of the free-woman, through the promise;
Galatians 4:24Which things are said by an allegory. For these are the two testaments. The one from mount Sina, engendering unto bondage; which is Agar:Which things have an allegorical sense; for these are two covenants: one from mount Sinai, gendering to bondage, which is Hagar.which things are allegorized, for these are the two covenants: one, indeed, from mount Sinai, to servitude bringing forth, which is Hagar;
Galatians 4:25For Sina is a mountain in Arabia, which hath affinity to that Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.For Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which [is] now, for she is in bondage with her children;for this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and doth correspond to the Jerusalem that now [is], and is in servitude with her children,
Galatians 4:26But that Jerusalem, which is above, is free: which is our mother.but the Jerusalem above is free, which is our mother.and the Jerusalem above is the free-woman, which is mother of us all,
Galatians 4:27For it is written: Rejoice, thou barren, that bearest not: break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for many are the children of the desolate, more than of her that hath a husband.For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break out and cry, thou that travailest not; because the children of the desolate are more numerous than [those] of her that has a husband.for it hath been written, `Rejoice, O barren, who art not bearing; break forth and cry, thou who art not travailing, because many [are] the children of the desolate more than of her having the husband.`
Galatians 4:28Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.But *ye*, brethren, after the pattern of Isaac, are children of promise.And we, brethren, as Isaac, are children of promise,
Galatians 4:29But as then he, that was born according to the flesh, persecuted him that was after the spirit; so also it is now.But as then he that was born according to flesh persecuted him [that was born] according to Spirit, so also [it is] now.but as then he who was born according to the flesh did persecute him according to the spirit, so also now;
Galatians 4:30But what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son; for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman.But what says the scripture? Cast out the maid servant and her son; for the son of the maid servant shall not inherit with the son of the free woman.but what saith the Writing? `Cast forth the maid-servant and her son, for the son of the maid-servant may not be heir with the son of the free-woman;`
Galatians 4:31So then, brethren, we are not the children of the bondwoman, but of the free: by the freedom wherewith Christ has made us free.So then, brethren, we are not maid servant's children, but [children] of the free woman.then, brethren, we are not a maid-servant`s children, but the free-woman`s.
