Micah 6:1 | Hear ye what the Lord saith: Arise, contend thou in judgment against the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice. | Hear ye now what Jehovah saith: Arise, contend before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice. | Hear, I pray you, that which Jehovah is saying: `Rise strive thou with the mountains, And cause thou the hills to hear thy voice.` |
Micah 6:2 | Let the mountains hear the judgment of the Lord, and the strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord will enter into judgment with his people, and he will plead against Israel. | Hear, ye mountains, Jehovah's controversy, and ye, unchanging foundations of the earth; for Jehovah hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel. | Hear, O mountains, the strife of Jehovah, Ye strong ones foundations of earth! For a strife [is] to Jehovah, with His people, And with Israel He doth reason. |

Micah 6:4 | For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and delivered thee out of the house of slaves: and I sent before thy face Moses, and Aaron, and Mary. | For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. | For I brought thee up from the land of Egypt, And from the house of servants I have ransomed thee, And I send before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. |
Micah 6:6 | O my people, remember, I pray thee, what Balach the king of Moab purposed: and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, from Setim to Galgal, that thou mightest know the justices of the Lord. | My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, from Shittim unto Gilgal, that ye may know the righteousness of Jehovah. | O My people, remember, I pray you, What counsel did Balak king of Moab, What answer him did Balaam son of Beor, (From Shittim unto Gilgal,) In order to know the righteous acts of Jehovah.` |
Micah 6:6 | What shall I offer to the Lord that is worthy? wherewith shall I kneel before the high God? shall I offer holocausts unto him, and calves of a year old? | Wherewith shall I come before Jehovah, bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt-offerings, with calves of a year old? | With what do I come before Jehovah? Do I bow to God Most High? Do I come before Him with burnt-offerings? With calves sons of a year? |
Micah 6:7 | May the Lord be appeased with thousands of rams, or with many thousands of fat he goats? shall I give my firstborn for my wickedness, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? | Will Jehovah take pleasure in thousands of rams, in ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? | Is Jehovah pleased with thousands of rams? With myriads of streams of oil? Do I give my first-born [for] my transgression? The fruit of my body [for] the sin of my soul? |
Micah 6:8 | I will shew thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: Verily, to do judgment, and to love mercy, and to walk solicitous with thy God. | He hath shewn thee, O man, what is good: and what doth Jehovah require of thee, but to do justly, and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with thy God? | He hath declared to thee, O man, what [is] good; Yea, what is Jehovah requiring of thee, Except to do judgment, and love kindness, And lowly to walk with thy God? |
Micah 6:9 | The voice of the Lord crieth to the city, and salvation shall be to them that fear thy name: hear, O ye tribes, and who shall approve it? | Jehovah's voice crieth unto the city, and wisdom looketh on thy name. Hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it. | A voice of Jehovah to the city calleth, And wisdom doth fear Thy name, Hear ye the rod, and Him who appointed it. |
Micah 6:10 | As yet there is a fire in the house of the wicked, the treasures of iniquity, and a scant measure full of wrath. | Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure [which is] abominable? | Are there yet [in] the house of the wicked Treasures of wickedness, And the abhorred scanty ephah? |
Micah 6:11 | Shall I justify wicked balances, and the deceitful weights of the bag? | Shall I be pure with the unjust balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights? | Do I reckon [it] pure with balances of wickedness? And with a bag of deceitful stones? |
Micah 6:12 | By which her rich men were filled with iniquity, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue was deceitful in their mouth. | For her rich men are full of violence, and her inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. | Whose rich ones have been full of violence, And its inhabitants have spoken falsehood, And their tongue [is] deceitful in their mouth. |
Micah 6:13 | And I therefore began to strike thee with desolation for thy sins. | Therefore also will I make [thee] sick in smiting thee; I will make [thee] desolate because of thy sins. | And I also, I have begun to smite thee, To make desolate, because of thy sins. |
Micah 6:14 | Thou shalt eat, but shalt not be filled: and thy humiliation shall be in the midst of thee: and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not save: and those whom thou shalt save, I will give up to the sword. | Thou shalt eat, and not be satisfied, and thine emptiness [shall remain] in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take away, and not save; and what thou savest will I give up to the sword. | Thou thou eatest, and thou art not satisfied, And thy pit [is] in thy midst, And thou removest, and dost not deliver, And that which thou deliverest, to a sword I give. |
