Deuteronomy 14:1Be ye children of the Lord your God: you shall not cut yourselves, no, make any baldness for the dead;Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. Ye are sons of Jehovah your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for a dead person.
Deuteronomy 14:2Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God: and he chose thee to be his peculiar people of all nations that are upon the earth.for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, and thee hath Jehovah chosen for a people of possession unto himself, out of all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
Deuteronomy 14:3Eat not the things that are unclean.Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
Deuteronomy 14:4These are the beasts that you shall eat, the ox, and the sheep, and the goat,These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat, These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat;
Deuteronomy 14:5The hart and the roe, the buffle, the chamois, the pygarg, the wild goat, the camelopardalus.The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois. the hart, and the gazelle, and the stag, and the wild goat, and the dishon and the oryx, and the wild sheep.
Deuteronomy 14:6Every beast that divideth the hoof in two parts, and cheweth the cud, you shall eat.And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat. And every beast that hath cloven hoofs, and the feet quite split open into double hoofs, [and] which cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
Deuteronomy 14:7But of them that chew the cud, but divide not the hoof, you shall not eat, such as the camel, the hare, and the cherogril: because they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof, they shall be unclean to you.Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you. Only these ye shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those with hoofs cloven and split open: the camel, and the hare, and the rock-badger; for they chew the cud, but have not cloven hoofs they shall be unclean unto you;
Deuteronomy 14:8The swine also, because it divideth the hoof, but cheweth not the cud, shall be unclean, their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch.And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase. and the swine, for it hath cloven hoofs, yet cheweth not the cud it shall be unclean unto you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch.
Deuteronomy 14:9These shall you eat of all that abide in the waters: All that have fins and scales, you shall eat.These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales shall ye eat;
Deuteronomy 14:10Such as are without fins and scales, you shall not eat, because they are unclean.And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you. but whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat: it shall be unclean unto you.
Deuteronomy 14:11All birds that are clean you shall eat.Of all clean birds ye shall eat. All clean birds shall ye eat.
Deuteronomy 14:12The unclean eat not: to wit, the eagle, and the grype, and the osprey,But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and ossifrage, and the ospray, But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle,
Deuteronomy 14:13The ringtail, and the vulture, and the kite according to their kind:And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind, and the falcon, and the kite, and the black kite after its kind;
Deuteronomy 14:14And all of the raven's kind:And every raven after his kind, and every raven after its kind;
Deuteronomy 14:15And the ostrich, and the owl, and the larus, and the hawk according to its kind:And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, and the female ostrich, and the male ostrich, and the sea-gull, and the hawk after its kind;
Deuteronomy 14:16The heron, and the swan, and the stork,The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan, the owl, and the ibis and the swan,
Deuteronomy 14:17And the cormorant, the porphirion, and the night crow,And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant, and the pelican, and the carrion vulture, and the gannet,
Deuteronomy 14:18The bittern, and the charadrion, every one in their kind: the hoop also and the bat.And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
Deuteronomy 14:19Every thing that creepeth, and hath little wings, shall be unclean, and shall not be eaten.And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten. And every winged crawling thing shall be unclean unto you; they shall not be eaten.
Deuteronomy 14:20All that is clean, you shall eat.But of all clean fowls ye may eat. All clean fowls shall ye eat.
Deuteronomy 14:21But whatsoever is dead of itself, eat not thereof. Give it to the stranger, that is within thy gates, to eat, or sell it to him: because thou art the holy people of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in the milk of his dam.Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk. Ye shall eat of no carcase; thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is within thy gates, that he may eat it, or sell it unto a foreigner; for thou art a holy people to Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
Deuteronomy 14:22Every year thou shalt set aside the tithes of all thy fruits that the earth bringeth forth,Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, the produce of the field, year by year.
Deuteronomy 14:23And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose, that his name may be called upon therein, the tithe of thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil, and the firstborn of thy herds and thy sheep: that thou mayst learn to fear the Lord thy God at all times.And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always. And thou shalt eat before Jehovah thy God, in the place which he will choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear Jehovah thy God continually.
Deuteronomy 14:24But when the way and the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, are far off, and he hath blessed thee, and thou canst not carry all these things thither,And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which Jehovah thy God will choose to set his name there, when Jehovah thy God blesseth thee;
Deuteronomy 14:25Thou shalt sell them all, and turn them into money, and shalt carry it in thy hand, and shalt go to the place which the Lord shall choose :Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: then shalt thou give it for money, and bind the money together in thy hand, and go to the place which Jehovah thy God will choose,
Deuteronomy 14:26And thou shalt buy with the same money whatsoever pleaseth thee, either of the herds or of sheep, wine also and strong drink, and all that thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, and shalt feast, thou and thy house:And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household, and thou shalt give the money for whatever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever thy soul asketh of thee; and thou shalt eat there before Jehovah thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thy house.
Deuteronomy 14:27And the Levite that is within thy gates, beware thou forsake him not, because he hath no other part in thy possession.And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee. And thou shalt not forsake the Levite that is within thy gates; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee.
Deuteronomy 14:28The third year thou shalt separate another tithe of all things that grow to thee at that time, and shalt lay it up within thy gates.At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates;
Deuteronomy 14:29And the Levite that hath no other part nor possession with thee, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come and shall eat and be filled: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the works of thy hands that thou shalt do.And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest. and the Levite for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou doest.
