Galatians 6:1 | Brethren, and if a man be overtaken in any fault, you, who are spiritual, instruct such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. | Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. | Brethren, if anybody be detected in any misconduct, you who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of meekness. And let each of you keep watch over himself, lest he also fall into temptation. |
Galatians 6:2 | Bear ye one another's burdens; and so you shall fulfil the law of Christ. | Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. | Always carry one another's burdens, and so obey the whole of Christ's Law. |
Galatians 6:3 | For if any man think himself to be some thing, whereas he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. | For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. | For if there is any one who thinks himself to be somebody when he is nobody, he is deluding himself. |
Galatians 6:4 | But let every one prove his own work, and so he shall have glory in himself only, and not in another. | But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. | But let every man scrutinize his own conduct, and then he will find out, not with reference to another but with reference to himself, what he has to boast of. |
Galatians 6:5 | For every one shall bear his own burden. | For every man shall bear his own burden. | For every man will have to carry his own load. |
Galatians 6:6 | And let him that is instructed in the word, communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things. | Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. | But let those who receive instruction in Christian truth share with their instructors all temporal blessings. |
Galatians 6:7 | Be not deceived, God is not mocked. | Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. | Do not deceive yourselves. God is not to be scoffed at. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. |
Galatians 6:8 | For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting. | For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. | He who sows in the field of his lower nature, will from that nature reap destruction; but he who sows to serve the Spirit will from the Spirit reap the Life of the Ages. |
Galatians 6:9 | And in doing good, let us not fail. For in due time we shall reap, not failing. | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. | Let us not abate our courage in doing what is right; for in due time we shall reap a reward, if we do not faint. |
Galatians 6:10 | Therefore, whilst we have time, let us work good to all men, but especially to those who are of the household of the faith. | As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. | So then, as we have opportunity, let us labour for the good of all, and especially of those who belong to the household of the faith. |
Galatians 6:11 | See what a letter I have written to you with my own hand. | Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. | See in what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. |
Galatians 6:12 | For as many as desire to please in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer the persecution of the cross of Christ. | As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. | All who desire to display their zeal for external observances try to compel you to receive circumcision, but their real object is simply to escape being persecuted for the Cross of Christ. |
Galatians 6:13 | For neither they themselves who are circumcised, keep the law; but they will have you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. | For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. | For these very men do not really keep the Law of Moses, but they would have you receive circumcision in order that they may glory in *your* bodies. |
Galatians 6:14 | But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world. | But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. | But as for me, God forbid that I should glory in anything except the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, upon which the world is crucified to me, and I am crucified to the world. |
Galatians 6:15 | For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. | For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. | For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any importance; but only a renewed nature. |
Galatians 6:16 | And whosoever shall follow this rule, peace on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. | And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. | And all who shall regulate their lives by this principle may peace and mercy be given to them and to the true Israel of God. |
Galatians 6:17 | From henceforth let no man be troublesome to me; for I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus in my body. | From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. | From this time onward let no one trouble me; for, as for me, I bear, branded on my body, the scars of Jesus as my Master. |
Galatians 6:18 | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen. | Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. | May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits, brethren. Amen. |
